The safety of students was the main priority of all agencies involved in the decision making process. Bushfires will remain a concern over the coming months and further closures could occur in mes of high fire danger. Any closures will be communicated via SMS and Facebook. Please ensure we have your correct contact details so that you receive important informaon. If you did not receive any SMS noficaons from the school last week please contact the school office so this can be fixed up. In the event that a bushfire becomes a threat while students are at school all students will be moved to our designated school refuge area which is the admin block. If we are instructed by the RFS to seek shelter in our refuge no students will be allowed to leave unl it is deemed safe by authories. This is a good me for all families to ensure they have their own bushfire survival plan organised so that you know what to do in case of an emergency situaon. Camp We have made the difficult decision to cancel camp this year. Again this decision was made with the safety of our students in mind. The weather condions for this week were predicted to be very hot and windy. Great Aussie Bush camp is situated in a very bushy area that could be dangerous if fire broke out in the areas. Refunds can be arranged for camp fees paid or the amount can be leſt in credit for future expenses. Please let Mrs Muir in the office know what you would like to do. Grandparents Day Unfortunately Grandparents Day had to be cancelled last week. As we are not able to reorganise another date we would like to send a special invite to all grandparents to aend our end of year presentaon day on Thursday 12 th December. Swimming The Intensive Swimming Scheme will go ahead next week starng Monday 25 th November. This is a whole school program with all levels of swimming ability catered for. Please ensure notes and payment for pool entry are returned by this Friday. Lessons will take place every day for two weeks. Students will leave school at 12.00 noon and return by 2.00 pm. The last day of swimming, Friday 6 th December, will be combined with our annual swimming carnival. Parents are welcome to come along to the pool for the swimming carnival. All students who turn 8 in 2020 are eligible to compete in races. Younger students will parcipate in water fun acvies at the pool. The swimming carnival will commence at 10.00 am. Christmas Raffle All students have today received a raffle booklet for our end of year Christmas raffle. We have some amazing prizes donated to our school valued at over $700. As this is P&C’s major fundraiser for the year we ask all families to please try and sell as many ckets as possible. All students who return a book will go into a draw to win 1 of 2 prize and the second prize will go to our biggest cket seller. Tickets must be returned to the school office by Tuesday 10th December. Dear Parents, Carers and Families
Bushfires

Aussie Bush Camp Refund
Due to camp being cancelled all fees paid have now been processed into “Fees in
Advance” for future school expenses.
Please advise the school office if you would like to use these funds towards the 2019
Intensive Swimming Program and/or the Big Day Out.
The remaining funds will then roll over to next year and can be used in 2020 towards
excursions, activities, camp, intensive swimming etc.
If you require this money to be refunded please see the school office to complete a
student refund form to have the fees direct debited into your account.
