Score a Touchdown for Reading Program

The Score a Touchdown for Reading Program was created to encourage education and reading in elementary and middle school students within the San Antonio community. The program is targeted towards schools districts within the the San Antonio area.

The U.S Army All-American Bowl (USAAB) and the U.S. Army developed this incentive based program to entice students to read more and score a “touchdown.”

Through this program the USAAB is confident it will leave a positive long lasting impression for a sponsor with students, faculty and families in the San Antonio community.

U.S. Army All-American Bowl – Score a Touchdown for Reading

Concept:• Students who read for six hours score a “touchdown” for reading and receive a

free ticket voucher to the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will be played in San Antonio’s Alamodome on Saturday, January 7, 2012. A student will receive a free ticket voucher for each six hours he or she reads, with the ability to receive a maximum of five free ticket vouchers. As an added incentive, an additional discount ticket voucher will be offered to the student’s family.

• The school that scores the most combined touchdowns over the designated program timeframe will receive a “Score a Touchdown for Reading” event during bowl week January 4 – 6, 2012, where select U.S. Army All-American players will celebrate with the winning school, along with high school football’s all-time leading rusher Ken “Sugar Land Express” Hall. The USAAB will make a donation to the winning school on behalf of the sponsor.
