LOCATION

N A building should GROW from its site as Nature grows: from the inside out, and shaped by the forces which surround it.

A building is not to be located on the top of a hill, but it should located in the hill, to live together with it.

Germia, together with its park, which presents a unique natural resource, is located in the north of Prishtina city, in a height of 680-690m in the selected location. The landscape of Germia is engraved by hills and valleys covered with trees and verdure.

The poets speak about “the hell” of metropolis, while other for “the stupidity” of living in countryside- in nature.

As biggest is a city, the smallest is the sky above it, less nature, flowers, increasingly smoke, concrete, technique, less personalities we are, increasingly we are falling in to mass.

Organics in Architecture means “Part is to part as part is to whole”The concept for villa's architecture is selected to be the organic, hence this architecture returns to nature itself, bringing a strong synergism between the location and the building itself, which develops from the theory of waves, like a flowing water from its source, spreading through terrain' morphology, like musical notes of a symphony.

There's no doubt, that one of great blessings which has been given to us is the sunlight under which we live.

Living in a period where energy is very difficult to be obtained, hence in other hand its use is increased dramatically high, we should be much more consequent on using alternative energy sources which nature gave to us – sunlight.

Living room which goes two stories is oriented toward north side with its “spider” glass façade covering its entire front and a ventilation system on the top of this façade which serves as a regulator of temperature for both summer and winter. The sunshine gets deep inside the room during the utmost part of the day, while during the characteristic periods of the year, solstices and equinoxes it achieves the greatest coverage of the interior with sunshine.
