THE KEY FEATURES OF OUR RECYCLING POLICY:Embassy Waste Management System comprises of:

PAPER AND CARDBOARD WASTEAll paper and cardboard waste from the factory and bindery is separated and placed in the appropriate bins

and collected. This paper and cardboard is recycled to make new products like packing boxes.

ALUMINIUM WASTEOur aluminium printing plates are recycled.

WOODOur wooden pallets are reused or broken down and recycled to produce chipboard and mulch.

PLASTIC WASTEAll plastic waste material such as wrapping and containers are separated and collected.

INK TINSAll ink tins are separated from other waste and are collected from the factory and recycled.

RAGSOur rags are collected and disposed of via the same methods as our waste chemicals.

PRINTER CARTRIDGESAll printer cartridges are refilled where possible or recycled.

WASTE CHEMICALAn accredited waste management company operating under an Environmental Protection Act (EPA) license transports the

small amount of waste chemical we do generate. If the waste chemical contains more alcohol content than water content, the waste chemical is reused in fire furnaces (if we can’t recycle it, we find another use for it!). Embassy will always

attempt to keep this type of waste to a minimum.

RENEWABLE GREEN ENERGYRenewable Green Power from Origin Energy accounts for 100% of Embassy’s electricity consumption.

Embassy’s move to renewable Green Energy is an overall strategy to be a responsible, ethical &sustainable company.

RECYCLED PAPERPaper made from post consumer waste 100% recycled or paper made from mill trimmings where mill waste, off cuts & trimmings are re-processed to form pre-consumer waste, 50% - 80% recycled. Strictly speaking this is paper reformed from pulp that would otherwise be discarded or not be re used efficiently.We are currently putting in place “Chain of Custody” guidelines which are a pre requisite for claiming on clients printed materials that the paper used is from sustainable forests, these are FSC papers.Recycled logo may be used on any printed materials provided that the paper is in-fact recycled. Information on recycled papers used can be provided to us from all responsible paper merchants.All our paper off-cuts are recycled. Embassy has used this service for approximately 30 years. White waste is used in many grades of recycled paper. De-inked waste may be used for cartons, packaging & other items.

PLATESPlates are recycled at all times, this has been in place for around 50 years.

LIGHTING - FACTORY & WAREHOUSELighting is by low energy tubes.

INKS – LITHOGRAPHIC & DIGITALLithographic inks sourced contain soy based organic material.We purchase inks manufactured in Australia wherever possible thus reducing carbon emissions from transportation excesses. Digital Inks (not toner but ink) are manufactured by using organic products.Toner cartridges are not discarded, but refilled at Embassy from toner imported from the U.K as most toner cartridges are only available as new products. The refill process allows the cartridge to be re used approximately 5 – 6 times reducing the need for new cartridges.Lithographic ink containers are collected by Chemsal Resource Recovery.Digital Ink containers are returned to our supplier for recycling.

PACKAGINGCartons are 100% recycled paper product.Shrink wrap usage is kept to a minimum. We have sourced a more environmentally friendly product to replace the conventional shrink wrap.
