Dneprovsk metallurgical plant

Production is a full technological cycle�

BF shop comprises two blast furnaces with the total volume of 1,733 m³ (BF-2 – 700 m³, BF-3 – 1,033 m³)� The design capacity of the shop is 1,795 thous� t (of steelmaking iron)�

Steelmaking is represented by BOF shop� The shop has a total of three converters with the volume of 50 m³ each� The design capacity of the shop is 1,230 thous� t of steel PA� The equipment enables to provide steel treatment with liquid synthetic slags, making up to 63 operations (heats) per day� The technology of production of commercial quality carbon steel, structural steel, low-alloyed and alloyed steel grades has been mastered�

Rolling production includes two shops as follows:

“800” rolling mill: operating in the same process flow with “1050” blooming mill; mill products — semifinished rounds and squares; blooms; crane, tram and mine rails; 22С I-beams; coal- and ore-pulverizing drum mill lining sections; round bars for grinding bodies; SVP mine sections; U-channels and UPE-channels acc� to European standards, etc�;

“550” medium-section mill: the mill gives unique products (special wheel rim sections for motor vehicles, pit barring sections, subway conductor rails)� Also “550” mill produces general purpose products (no� 8П–30П parallel flange channels, U-channels and UPE-channels acc� to European standards; no� 70–125 equal angles)�
