Hello Division 38!

The holidays are finally here! This time of year is definitely my favorite! Everyone is so cheerful and giving, especially us Key Clubbers! This season is by far one of our busiest times since we are constantly working hard to make people’s holiday special and filled with joy.

When you are busy doing your holiday shopping or visiting family, take time to think of those less fortunate than you and think of ways that you can help them! Donate to the Salvation Army, participate in Adopt-a-Family, volunteer at the Food Bank…the list of possibilities goes on and on, which is why I have narrowed the list down for you in this newsletter! Take a look at the list of holiday service ideas, so you can get involved and help others during this time of year!

I hope you have all worked hard to get your dues in, but if you are still having difficulties please let me know ASAP! I’m here to help you!

Also, please keep in mind the dates on the Key Dates page, specifically the Lieutenant Governor election rally (note the change in date and time), District Convention, and Kiwanis DCM!

Remember that if you have any questions, concerns, or just need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to contact me! I hope to see many of you at the upcoming DCM. Happy Holidays!

In Caring Service,

Linsie Michaels

Greetings!

This month’s Star Award goes to… Olympia High School

This month, Olympia High School has been extremely active in the community! They have helped out so much, especially during the busy holiday season! They have helped out at Christmas Forest this year by setting up and working at the actual event. They decorated the trees, set up booths, and helped at the children’s day! OHS has also been busy at the Thurston County Food Bank! To assist

they food bank, they sorted food that will later go to those who can’t afford food. Another event they are taking part in this month is bell ringing for the Salvation Army. They are getting ready to sing holiday songs and ring those bells to raise money to help those less fortunate during the holiday season. They have also helped raise money for

the District Project, Project: Educate, by selling wristbands and t-shirts to their club members! OHS is already getting prepared for DCON, even though it is still month’s away! They are obviously excited to celebrate and show their dedication to service!

December Riddle: What do you have in December that you don’t have in any other month?

Holiday Season has arrived! Take this time to make someone’s holiday happy and special. Here are some ideas

for ways that you can serve your community this season!

Card Making! Get your members together and

have a card making session! Donate the cards to a local

children’s hospital or retirement home! It’ll bring a smile to

someone’s face this holiday!

Food Bank! Get a group of Key Clubbers together and volunteer at your local food bank! Help box and sort Christmas meals to

hand out to those less fortunate!

Blanket Making! Make tie-blankets with your Key Clubbers and donate them to a

local homeless shelter or hospital! People will be thankful for their

warmth during the holidays!
