PLAGIARISM IS Not referencing a source you used Not referencing an unusual source –something you heard from a TV or a radio

show Not referencing a source because it has no author “Not using “quotation marks” & in-text citations for quotes Using content from another source & just changing it around a little Collaborating with another student on an individual assignment Re-submitting one of your older essays as a new assignment –even just part of

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM Take the habit of taking down the full detail of

a source, with page numbers Always take concise notes Reference Follow your referencing style! Know your options; quoting, paraphrasing,

To ensure that sources are well referenced,there are standards for your to follow

4. Adrian referenced perfectly an article, he just forgot to mention the pages he used.

5. Ginny added one in-text citation to reference a textbook.
