Management and Organisational Volunteer Recruitment (Accredited)

This accredited level 3 course is aimed at anyone responsible for recruiting volunteers to work in their organisation. The course explores the role of volunteer workers within organisations and looks at the processes for successful recruitment.

GDPR Everyday Essentials
Overview The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018 and is the biggest overhaul of data protection legislation for over 25 years, and although it’s been in force for over a year, it’s still important for workers to know the essentials and what it means to them in their job role. This course covers the basic need-to-know information for people new to or not confident with this legislation.

Funding and Finance QuickBooks
Overview
Effective financial reporting is essential to ensure charities are adopting good financial management and appropriate use of resources. The non-profit or charity board needs good financial information to understand the financial health of the organisation. Bid Writing Workshop
Overview
This course is designed for people who have bid writing experience and those who are new to it and want to practice their technique under the guidance of the trainer. The workshop recaps some key points, delivers further information on fund raising and culminates in a practical session whereby participants can work on a real bid they are developing, or work on a simulated bid.

Managing Mental Health in the Workplace
Overview

Safety for Lone Workers
Overview
Working alone carries specific personal safety risks. Health and Safety law requires employers to assess these risks and to take steps to avoid or control risks where necessary. Overview
This 2 day course is for drivers who want to drive accessible minibuses. Delegates must ensure they are able to attend both days. Delegates should expect to attend for a full day for assessment on the second day of the course, but please note, dependent on numbers attending, the course may be shorter

The D1 category on the driving licence is not necessary to do the training on our 8-seater vehicle, but is necessary for training on the 9-16-seater minibus. If delegates do not have the D1 category, they will be doing their training and assessment on the 8-seater vehicle.
