After more than a decade of neglect, what was once a state-of-the-art facility had become nothing more than distant memories. en, a couple of years ago, Keith Balmer drove by the dilapidated proper- ty and saw the potential of bringing the greenhouses back to life. Next Friday and Saturday, April 29th & 30th, you are invited to the Grand Open- ing of Floral Avenue Gar- dens at 1891 Floral Avenue in Gooding. To get there take 10th Avenue East (just south of North Valley Acad- emy) to Oregon Street, jog north to 9th Avenue East, and travel about a half a mile (just past the cemetery). It’s hard to miss. e owners hope to make “Spring Festival 2016” an annual event to help sup- port local non-profit or- ganizations. is year they are supporting RELAY FOR LIFE. is will be a great opportunity to see the fruits of their labors, and to do some spring plant shopping.
