Huge congratulations to Ryan who had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience at the NSW PSSA athletics carnival in Sydney at the Homebush Olympic precinct. As you may know Ryan was selected for the 10 year boys 100 metre dash and Junior boys long jump event. Ryan was telling me this morning how exciting it was to be back at the State carnival but added that unfortunately he got a slow start but still managed to be placed an amazing 6th in the dash and was placed a brilliant 10th in the long jump. Can I take this opportunity to congratulate Ryan not only for these excellent results as an athlete but more importantly his stellar achievements, enthusiasm, humility and sportsmanship as a role model for our school. Well done Ryan! Big thank you to everyone who found the time to respond to my request for an evaluation of our school performance. Your valued contributions were overwhelmingly positive, thoughtful and meaningful. I am in the process of collating your input in preparation for Thursday’s School Excellence external validation. If there is anyone who forgot or still wishes to contribute, I will still include them in our overall evaluation up until Thursday. Preparations for our school concert next Wednesday are in full swing. The kids are very excited. I hope everyone can make it to this special annual event. At this Friday’s school assembly I will present the English ICAS certificates and also hand out the Spelling and Writing for those students who missed school assembly week 2. All most welcome to attend. Thank you to Mia and Alice (Hunter P’s mum & sister) for the scrumptious lunch last Friday. Many thanks Geoff Coghlan ‘Good sportsmanship goes beyond the game; it starts with respect’ Anonymous

REMINDERS

There is again an overwhelming amount of lost property in the lost property box located in the office area store. PLEASE come and have a look

to make sure you claim what’s yours.

LOST PROPERTY

We have been supplying plastic forks and spoons to children who forget to bring one in with their lunch. Unfortunately the number required on a daily basis has increased over time and now we feel that it’s becoming too much of an environmental issue given our fabulous recycling program.

Can you please ensure you forward a spoon if your child requires one for lunch as we will no longer be providing a plastic alternative.

Thanks for your understanding.
