Huge congratulations to Luis who was the proud recipient of our final Principal Award/Trophy for 2018. As Aurora presented Luis with the Trophy the audience spontaneously broke into one of the loudest and longest standing ovations I have ever seen at any school. Well done Luis! Massive congratulations to our ICAS Mathematics participants who received their certificates at the assembly. Special congratulations to Ellie and Ella who were awarded Distinctions in Mathematics and Alifie for Writing and English. Well done everyone! See photos attached. Last Tuesday Class 2 & Class 3/4 went down to The Pass and Byron Lighthouse to participate in the Dolphin Dreaming program which once again proved to be a highly educational and thoroughly enjoyable day. Mrs Edwards and Mrs Cottrill returned with nothing but praise for the indigenous/historical activities as well as the outstanding behaviour of our students. See photos attached. Congratulations also to Alessia for creating an absolutely terrific project for Mrs Cottrill’s class unit on Earth and Space. Alessia constructed a large display jam packed with fascinating facts and pictures on black holes. When the door is closed you illuminate the contents with a torch. Well done Alessia! See photo attached. K to 2 commenced their two week intensive swimming program today. Years 3 to 6 are off to surf school next week. This Friday our magnificent P&C are putting on an afternoon movie session in the school library from 3.15pm with a 5.30pm pick up. See details in P&C news overleaf. Thank you once again to Stella (Hunter H’s) and Emma (Asher’s mum) for their incredibly scrumptious Friday lunch and treat. Many thanks Geoff Coghlan ‘Every great achievement was once considered impossible’ Unknown

PARENT ACTION SYMBOLParents - this symbol is an easy way to identify what you need to action this
week.
Bangalow Christmas Eve Concert 2018This year Coorabell students have been invited to sing at the Bangalow Christmas Eve Festival on 24th December, with an 8 piece big band organised by Rhydian (Caalen’s Dad). The festival starts at 5pm and is over by 9pm.
We are inviting all students who are interested to learn, practice and perform the Christmas song at the Festival.
If you can discuss this with your child who can then let Mrs Edwards know by the end of the week.
Many thanks – Kay Edwards
Just a reminder that 2019 is the last year where siblings of current students can be enrolled unless your residential address is in zone.
Please contact me if any further clarification is required.
You are able to purchase uniforms at any time during school hours in the office area.
Please make sure your child is wearing socks with their shoes. This will keep the blisters away. All shoes should be supportive shoes/joggers for growing feet. Dress shoes are not appropriate for school activities. No thongs or crocs.
WELL DONE! We shipped about 2.5kg of oral waster so we’ll have to redouble our efforts as they’ve increased it to 5kg minimum! It’s a stellar effort for such a small school. DON’T FORGET it can be any brand not just Colgate. Toothpaste tubes must be
empty - the box will remain in the foyer.

-----SUSHI NEWS-----
New Sushi Day - WEDNESDAYS and BIGGER rolls too!
Commencing 5 December, sushi will be offered on WEDNESDAYS at Lunch 2 in-stead of Mondays. Orders will need to be placed by 9pm Monday via My Kids Lunch
Box.com.au as usual. Following on from feedback, all our kids are getting bigger so the sushi rolls are
getting bigger too! 😃😃😃 They will be approximately 25% bigger (about a 10cm roll) andthere are some price increases to reflect that…
$5 per roll for tuna or chicken, $4 for avocado and still just $3 for COST PRICE cucumber rolls.
1 roll will be a substantial lunch for little kids while 2 rolls will be plenty for big eaters and older kids.
For every tuna, chicken and avocado roll purchased, $1 goes to Coorabell P&C to raise funds for OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY. Many thanks to Doma Cafe in Federal
for providing these sushi rolls of the highest quality at cost price.
I hope you are happy with these changes and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re not! [email protected] or mobile 0424 923 663.
