Happy Birthday CABA! Wow, 25 years old! Very few businesses, products, or organizations are able to boast twenty five years in operation! CABA began

in 1986, when a small group of Carrollwood area business people were struggling because a road project prevented access to their businesses. They banded together to work for the common good. They helped each other to stay afloat by sharing business opportunities with one another. Unlike other civic organizations or chambers of commerce, they shared strategies and referred business to one another so they could survive through those tough economic times.

Many of the original members are still active in CABA! Today, the membership of the Carrollwood Area Business Association is not limited to the Carrollwood area. It spans across all of Hillsborough and into Pasco and Pinellas Counties. We know each other. We strive to learn how we can help one another. We transact business together. After 25 years, our members are still helping each other to succeed by referring our friends, relatives, and business associates to CABA members. This year, I want our members receiving the most return on their membership investment by encouraging them to take advantage of everything CABA has to offer. As you read through this directory, you will see

an organization that offers its members multiple and free networking opportunities, a state of the art website to promote your business, educational programs, a business expo, fun events like Networking on the 9’s, a golf tournament, and much more. When you join CABA and don’t take advantage of these great opportunities to promote yourself and your business, you’ve squandered your dollars.

Let people get to know you and have the opportunity to work with you on a one-to-one basis. I encourage you to become actively involved in CABA. Learn the fast track to meeting our members by attending the Newcomer’s luncheon. Promote your business and products at the Power Lunch or Expo. Have fun and transact business with CABA members who you know, like and trust!.

Thank you for electing me to this position. I am humbled to be elected as your CABA President for 2010-2011. I hope my leadership lives up to your standards —and to those who have served in this position before me. Just like in my office, I will maintain an open-door policy and request your input on ways we can continue giving back to our membership as an organization.

“It is the members who make CABA strong! Their participation will make CABA successful for years to come.”
