There are 3 Activity Groups1. Endurance Activities These activities help out your heart, lungs, and circulatory system.

2. Flexibility Activities

These activities help you move easily, keep your muscles relaxed, and your joints mobile.

These activities will help make sure you have a better quality of life when you get older.

Here are some examples:• Stretching exercises• Yoga• T’ai Chi• Golf • Curling• Dance• Vacuuming

Strength Activities These activities help your muscles and bones stay strong,

improve your posture, and fight osteoporosisHere are some examples:• Heavy yard work (cutting/piling wood)• Lifting and carrying groceries• Climbing stairs• Lifting weights• Push ups/ Sit ups/ Pull ups

Dictionary: Osteoporosis - a disease of bones that leads to an increased risk of fracture or breakage.
