AQUAPANEL® Cement Board technology has already revolutionised the design and construction of buildings world-wide. Now, the new generation of floor systems from Knauf USG Systems provides architects and construction professionals with a superior alternative to wet screeds which can be used for all kinds of floor constructions.
AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor has an innovative edge design with a slot on all four sides, making installation faster and easier. Simply apply the AQUAPANEL® Slot Adhesive (PU), insert the AQUAPANEL® Biscuit, and press the panels together. No screws are required. The system is self-levelling during installation so floor panels create a level surface.
When used with AQUAPANEL® Levelling Fill, AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor provides the perfect floor structure. An AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor system is suitable for all kinds of floor constructions, particularly for refurbishment projects.

Where surfaces are level, lay AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor MF
(laminated with impact sound insulation board) or lay AQUAPANEL®
Cement Board Floor on insulation board with high compressive strength
(check suitability for dry floors). For uneven surfaces, prepare a level,
load-bearing surface using AQUAPANEL® Levelling Fill. Then lay covering
board, finishing with a top layer of AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor.
Place edge insulation strips along the walls to avoid sound bridges.
Align floor panels against the wall and install them with joints offset.
Prime surface with AQUAPANEL® Interior Primer(consumption approx. 50g/m2,diluted1:1withwater)

*) When using a mineral fibre insulating board with AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor, check suitability with the manufacturer. **) Covering boards such as gypsum boards or soft fibre timber boards are to be chosen in accordance with DIN EN 520 or DIN EN 13171.
Laying and processing on a separating layer/insulating layer, on AQUAPANEL® Levelling Fill
Edges of the boards do not have to be cut off. Elements can be laid immediately.
Note:Laying on a separating layer / insulating layerStart laying at the wall opposite the door. The elements can be laid continuously within door area. Line element joints in the door area.
Installation on loose fill:Installation is always carried out with a covering board such as soft fibre timber, gypsum board or similar
