Go east on Hilliard-Cemetery Road to- ward Fishinger Blvd.—Upper Arlington. Travel approximately 0.8 miles on Fishinger Blvd., turn right into parking lot at Mills James, 3545 Fishinger Blvd. Traveling north or south on Riverside Drive/US33, travel to Fishinger Road. Go west on Fishinger Road, crossing the bridge over the Scioto River. Fishinger Road becomes Fishinger Blvd., travel approximately 1.2 miles to 3545 Fishinger Blvd. Mills James is on the left. Turn left into the parking lot.

Don Archiable will be presenting
a Post NAB 2015 'State of The Union'
report on the latest and greatest tech-
nology, as he has done in the past
years for our chapter.
Don began his broadcast career
in 1982, working for John R. Owen VP
of Engineering at Taft Broadcasting in
Cincinnati. He started as Chief Engineer
at WKRC-TV and was soon promoted to
assist John with the Gulf Western ac-
quisition which grew to 36 stations.
With an offer of ownership and equity
position and to be a Vice President of
The Nebraska Television Network, NTV,
Don rebuilt their 4 ABC affiliate sta-
tions, preparing for their subsequent
sale upon completion.
In 1985 Don was hired by NBC
NY as Director of Architecture, Engi-
neering and Capital Projects for the
new $110 million budget, WMAQ - NBC
Tower in Chicago. When the 44 story broadcast center was completed Don was promoted to
Managing Director: Architecture & Engineering, for the NBC Network in NYC. After projects; To-
day Show, SNL, Letterman and 2 Olympics, Don joined The Austin Company as VP Strategic
Industry Group again with John Owen.
NBC called Don back in 1994 as Station Ops Mgr at WRC-TV under Tim Russert , Presi-
dent NBC News.
With the opportunities of designing and building global broadcast networks on "The
Other Side"... Don completed international network projects in: Korea. Manila. Germany.
Alaska. Bahamas. and....US projects; The Weather Channel; Discovery Channel and over 40 TV
and Radio Stations nationwide.
Presently, Don is a part owner & Executive Vice President of Osborn Engineering, a 122
year old legacy firm based in Cleveland. The primary focus of their National Practice is; The
FCC rePack, mobile LTE reverse auction and Medical Next Gen Technology.
Don has been a member of both SBE & SMPTE since 1983 and a past SBE chapter
president in Cincinnati. He has undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering, Architecture
and Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati. Don has been a HAM radio operator
since 12 years of age and is licensed as an Amateur Extra Class with call sign WC8DA.
