5. General make-up of the cable 5.1 Conductor Electrolytic
annealed aluminium conductor, class 2 according to EN 60228 / IEC
60228. Optionally, hygroscopic tapes can be applied in order to
achieve longitudinal watertightness on the conductor (cable type
-2OL) 5.2 Inner semi-conducting screen Cross-linked semiconductor
screen applied over conductor in a triple-extrussion process. 5.3
Insulation Cross-linked polyethylene insulation, type DIX-3
according to HD 620-1 and type XLPE according to IEC 60502-2;
natural color. Cross-linked in catenary line with nitrogen
atmosphere. 5.4 Outer semi-conducting screen Cross-linked
semiconductor screen applied over insulation in a triple-extrussion
process. Strippable. Optionally, under customer request, it can
supplied non strippable (bonded to insulation). 5.5 Metalic screen
Metalic screen made with Cu wires and Cu binder tape, applied over
the outer semi-conducting layer. With 16 mm2 minimum cross-section.
5.6 Water blocking Hygroscopic tape applied over metalic screen.
5.7 Outer sheath Polyolefine outer sheath, type DMZ1 according to
HD 620-1 and type ST7 according to IEC 60502-2; red color.

6. Current-carrying capacities 6.1 Nominal current-carrying
capacities Table 1 show the current-carrying capacities and
electric parameters detailed for every cable. Current-carrying
capacities, in ampers, are calculated according to UNE 211435 and
for the following conditions:
- Open air installation: three single-core cables in trefoil
formation and ambient temperature of 40 C; protected from direct
sun radiation and with adequate ventilation (supported by cleats
and hangers or on perforated tray).
- Buried installation: three single-core cables in trefoil
formation direct buried at a depth of
1 m, ground temperature of 25 C and soil thermal resistivity of
1,5 Km/W. - In all cases it is supossed a three-phase circuit.
Reactance (X) is calculated at 50 Hz and for three single-core
cables (in triangle or trefoil formation). For conditions other
than this apply the adequate correction factors (point 6.3).
