2 – MISSION AND STATEMENT
EGDO clears the position of libraries in this digitized world, give direction to legal measurements that should be taken, to guarantee the free access to information as a human right. The work of EGDO could cumulate in a position paper. EGDO works closely together with EGIL to strenghten eachother with information and tactics.

Business models for digitized content need to be investigated for free library access and lending of e-books.

collect data on working business models for digitized material, the do’s and the don’ts; what are the pro’s and con’s and in which type of library is it working.
From this data we hope to make a proposal for all type of libraries that suits their specific needs to be succesfull in the future of this digitized world.
