Logisti cs and Procurement Offi cerOne positi on (THPC Vienti ane Offi ce)This offi cer is important to helping the Purchasing and Logisti cs Department sup-port THPC’s strategic objecti ves through eff ecti ve supply management.
Responsibiliti es• Receive and process procurement documents and negoti ate terms and
conditi ons in a ti mely and cost-eff ecti ve way while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifi cati ons.
• Facilitate and coordinate best practi ce tendering and contracti ng acti viti es, including tendering process and preparati on of contract documents and purchase orders
• Provide procurement service and advice to all staff ; help develop and imple-ment purchase strategies
• Ensure supplier compliance with all THPC requirements, taking acti on on de-fecti ve supply
• Manage vendor relati onships and assist in building eff ecti ve partnerships.• Liaise with Finance Department to ensure accurate and ti mely payment of
invoices• Obtain Lao government approval of import permits and maintain record of
import permits• Arrange all logisti cs for supply and delivery of purchased goods and ser-
vices: receive, pack and arrange delivery of goods to site offi ces as needed, taking acti on on discrepancies and variances.

Fisheries Team Leader One positi on-(THPC Site Offi ce, Khammouane Province)The Fisheries Team Leader manages a team dedicated to helping people in the project area manage aquati c life, providing data on fi sh status and working with communiti es to manage fi shery harvests sustainably.
Responsibiliti es• Manage four staff members and work with government counterparts in three
diff erent zones.• Conti nue ongoing community fi sheries survey, annual aquati c diversity studies
and monthly fi sheries surveys based on catch reports from all project areas• Work with Village Fishery Groups (VFG) and government counterparts in the
reservoir area to implement the Reservoir Management plan, including: ⚪ Fishing and trading licences ⚪ Conservati on zones and periods ⚪ Confl ict resoluti on.
• Training in fi sheries co-management and monitoring to government staff and VFG
• Liaise with other SED units to monitor the watershed and project impacts on communiti es and to develop pro-acti ve strategies to address such issues
• Coordinate with NGOs and other hydropower projects acti ve in the area• Oversee data input and analysis and make periodic writt en reports as in-
structed• Prepare the annual budget with the acti on plan, and monthly report
Qualifi cati ons• A seasoned project team leader with excellent management skills and research
experience.• Good knowledge of Lao nati ve fi sh species and common exoti c species, includ-
ing habitat and breeding, and knowledge of fi shing methods • Experience in fi shery management planning and community insti tuti on building• Good communicati on & inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate
with all ethnic groups.• Reporti ng skills: use of MS Offi ce and ability to communicate in English an
advantage.
