JANUARY/FEBRUARY CLASSES – Come Learn with Us!
Beginner Knitting! Whether you are just starting or refreshing your skills, this class is for you! Learn all of the knitting basics. Cast on, knit and purl
stitch, cable, basic button hole and bind off to name a few. At the end you will have a fantastic project that will launch your skills
into your next creation! There will be five 2-hour classes.

Beginner Crochet Critters! OMG! I want to make them all! If you've never tried your hand at crochet, or are a crocheter, but never “hooked”
amigurumi critters, try this! Unlike traditional teeny tiny amigurumi you can use any weight yarn you're comfortable
with to create these fun animals. Basic crochet stitches, working in the round, finishing, and embroidery are all part of
the process. Work from one of the Menagerie Books or grab a kit.

Workshops & Other Classes! Mystery Stitch of the Month! Can you solve the mystery? Come to one or come to all! Learn one new unique stitch a month
as you explore the world of knit and purl and how they can be manipulated to excite
you. Future pattern support will be offered for current stitch. Bring a coffee and you’re
“A” game and experience a different PurL teacher every time…yay!

Measurements! Measurements! Measurements! Get your free measurements. An important part
of any knitter’s toolbox (not that we will ever fit inside) is knowing our correct
measurements, thus size. This will ensure for a much more confident knitter and
a better fitting garment every time. Hurry and get yours!

Bind Off Workshop! Learn five important bind off techniques including decorative edges like the picot bind off to finish off your stitches in
style.

Fix It…”to err is human”! In this workshop you’ll learn to recognize exactly what went wrong in your work and
how to fix it. From simple fixes for dropped and twisted stitches, to reworking cables
and dealing with pesky, recurring problems we all face in our knitting. Cascade 220 in
a light color for swatching.

Mastering Jogless Jogs! In this workshop we’ll talk about combining colors and working with scale to make
your colors sing. Learn a variety of techniques for dealing with those pesky jogs that
are created when knitting stripes. Never fret again.

Knitted Knockers! Make them colored. Make them plain. Make them wildly insane. Knittedknockers.org supports women struggling with
breast cancer. These soft knitted knockers, which can be made in a variety of sizes, act as prosthetic. Let’s learn
together how we can add to this incredible support group. Knowledge
of DPNs is necessary.

Ravelry! Bring your coffee and your laptop! Spend some time getting set up on Ravelry. We will work together to organize
your stash, find your favorite designers and join their groups. Join the Rows of PurL group and build your pattern
library. Learn to explore thousands of yarn and pattern possibilities and have fun!

Just Magic Loop! In this two-hour quickie workshop, you will learn to do the fantastic magic loop technique. Enhance your circular
knitting skills with this fast, easy way to knit any size project diameter in the round. If you want to learn a wonderful
alternative to using double pointed needles, this is for you! Our boot toppers
will top off your confidence and have you ready for socks or hats in a hurry.

Mosaic Workshop! What a great way to learn more about changing colors with slip stitches in our fun mosaic workshop. Chart reading
and slipping stitches will keep you knitting the entire time. This is a fantastic, hands on workshop! You will go home
with four swatches and lots of ideas, ready to roll right into the mosaic table runner
class or desired project.

First Hat! It’s time to invite another color to your knitting party! This hat’s herringbone pattern looks complicated but in fact is super simple, thanks to slip stitches you will only work one color of yarn each round! Join this class for a great introduction to Mosaic knitting, chart reading, and the Twisted German Cast on.

The Fidra Hat! Looking for a quick knit with lots of style? Try the Fidra. It's a great first hat. Garter
stitch in the round, yarn overs and decreases create a lovely graphic pattern. A hat that

Willowwood Slouch! Our popular stranding workshop just got a whole new twist! Using the Willowwood Hat

Circular Knitting Workshop! Are you tired of knitting back and forth on scarves? Then this is the workshop for you.
In this 3-hour class you will learn how to knit in the round using circular needles. We will
show you several methods of joining in the round, keeping track of your rounds, identifying
your stitches in the round, and how to bind off. You'll go home having started on a colorful
cowl, the perfect project for exploring circular knitting.

Burberry Inspired Cowl! Based on a runway styled cowl, the Burberry Inspired Cowl can be casual chic or uptown

Delovely Shawlette! Make yourself a Delovely Shawlette. This lovely crescent shawl begins

Tea Cozy! Sheep Carousel Tea Cozy So stinkin' cute. What knitter doesn't love sheep? And what

steeks (EEK!), vikkel braids, corrugated ribbing, I cord and centered double decreases.

Crochet Hearts! With Valentine’s day right around the corner, what better way to say “I love you” than
giving someone a handmade heart! These 3D babies come in three sizes and have a neat
construction in amigurumi style. Personalize them with mohair and beads or add them to
