Spaghetti! Spaghetti!
You’re wonderful stuff.
I love you spaghetti
I can’t get enough.
You’re covered with sauce
And you’re sprinkled with cheese,
Spaghetti! Spaghetti!
Oh, give me some more please.
Spaghetti! Spaghetti!
Piled high in a mound,
You wiggle, you wriggle,
You squiggle around.
There’s slurpy spaghetti
All over my plate,
Spaghetti! Spaghetti!
I think you are great.
Spaghetti! Spaghetti!
I love you a lot.
You’re slishy, you’re sloshy,
Delicious and hot.
I gobble you down
Oh, I can’t get enough,
Spaghetti! Spaghetti!
You’re wonderful stuff.
P’rachim
We can't believe the sixth week of camp is already over! This
week was a little different because we got to spend a lot of fun
time with the Parparim, who welcomed us to their bunk with
open arms.
We started off our week getting ready and having our special pa-
jama day. We baked coffee cake muffins for our breakfast
themed snack and decorated pillows to relax with. On pajama
day we all came ready for a good nights rest, but got to do lots
of fun things instead. We made night sky art with foam paint in
art. Mushing our hands and stampers in the foam paint was real-
ly exciting.
On Thursday we also got to watch a special show. We had so
much fun this week. We will miss you, Oliver! Have a good
Shabbos.
Love,
Morah Stephanie and Morah Hannah
D’vorim Week 6 of Dvorim at MDS Day camp was a blast and a half.
We started off this week preparing for Pajama Day! We
decorated pillow cases to cuddle with and made coffee
cake muffins to munch on.
In Kinderdance we moved our bodies to the beat and pre-
tended to be different animals. On Tuesday we were all re-
ally tired so instead of getting dressed everyone came to
camp I their pajamas. We created moon foam paint art and
had breakfast for lunch.
Later we watched Toy Story and enjoyed Pirate's Booty and
chocolate milk. On Wednesday we had super soccer stars,
we practiced using small kicks to move the ball and and big
licks to score a goal!
In science this week we learned about magnet and ooblek.
We created magnet painting and
played with the ooblek, a liquid
that when squeezed becomes a
solid and then goes back to a l
iquid!! We finished the week with a
great show from Ora and Yoshi!
Parparim
Wow, another week has flown by for Bunk Parparim! On Monday, we
started off our week by preparing for the pajama party! In art, we made
our very own pillow cases. We used dot-art, stencils, and sequins to
decorate them. On Tuesday, we all came running into the bunk room so
excited to show off our pajamas! It was so silly to be wearing pajamas at
camp! We had a special pajama lunch too! We had breakfast for lunch! We
ate waffles, eggs and hash-browns! After lunch we all gathered in the
gym with stuffed animals, blankets and our very own pillows. We turned off
the lights and got to watch a movie!! For afternoon snack we continued the
pajama theme and had coffee-cake muffins that we made ourselves!
On Wednesday, we had so much fun with Coach Junior and Coach Zack
during Super Soccer Stars! We are getting really good at kicking and
controlling the soccer ball. We also made our very own pretzels with Morah
Shari! We all made our pretzels into different shapes! They tasted so
yummy!
On Thursday we enjoyed a special puppet show! We sang and danced
with Ora and Yoshi and all of their puppet friends! After the show we
enjoyed a yummy and delicious ice cream party with bunk Dvorim. We also
said goodbye to our friend Hannah Schwartz. We will miss you Hannah!
We ended off our week with a fabulous Shabbat Party! We drank
grape juice, ate Challah, and sang Shabbat songs with the whole camp! Can’t
wait to see what’s in store for the last week of camp!
Shabbat Shalom,

Baking With Morah Shari
This week in Baking we made
yummy coffee cake muffins to en-
hance our pajama day fun! We also
baked yummy pretzels! The chil-
dren watched as the yeast bubbled
and the dough was formed. Every-

followed the pretzel shape model
and others were very creative com-
ing up with different shapes such
as hearts, circles, snails and even a
butterfly! The pretzels were so
yummy!

Gym is IN at MDS Camp!
By Coach Leora Sulimanoff
Our campers have really gotten down our sports routine in gym. From our stretches to our cardio- including jumping jacks, hopping, running, skipping, galloping, going backwards and sideways, even “swimming”, crawling and spinning, we have so much fun. Some groups like to use their running time to play games including –
running to get out of the rain or snow storm, skipping to the store to buy some food and our Shabbat themed racing game. After our lesson and game, we always end with our group putting our hands together in the middle of the gym like one big team and shout, “WE LOVE MDS”. It is really sweet to watch the big smiles on their faces as their hands go up.
This week we focused on gross motor coordination. We played some running games including a tag game of sharks and minnows. Some groups practiced throwing and catching and saw how many “points” they could get by throwing their ball past certain target lengths. Some groups added hand eye coordination, color recognition and
listening to directions playing other throwing games. We also had another kids’ choice day where the campers get to pick what they want to play with in a free atmos-phere. We can’t believe that camp is almost over. Shabbat Shalom!
Art With Morah Debbie
Beautiful pillows filled the Art Room this week as we prepared for Pajama Week. Using different stencils, dot art and fabric paints we decorated our treasures with great care! Continuing this theme, we created moon pictures out of foam paint. Monet’s, Garden at Giverny, was our painting of the week and the children made their own version of this famous work.
Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom,
Morah Debbie
Science With Morah Simona
We got our hands messy as we dove in to science
explorations this week! First we learned about magnets
by using magnet wands to find things buried in sand.
We found out that only metal objects can stick to a
magnet.
Then we used our magnet wands to make paper clips
and magnetic marbles move around on a paper with
paint, which produced some really interesting artwork!
We also made some ooey, gooey concoctions, which
we called oobleck or slime.
The children had fun
putting their hands in and
getting messy to explore
the properties of this fasci-
nating liquid/solid.
Camp Is So Much Fun!
Dagim Week number six, who can believe it's done, This week was awesome! it was filled with lots of fun. Making pretzels and coffee cake was such a treat, baking with Morah Shari is always so sweet :) In science we learned about magnets and what they attract, Did you know a chair leg is a magnet? yup! it's a fact!! In gym with Coach Leora we threw furry balls to get points, we went through the obstacle course that helped stretch our joints. Pajama day was so restful and filled with pillows galore, we watched movies and had pirate’s booty, marshmal-lows and more!
With the scavenger hunt we found many clues that walked us through MDS , Our last clue was an ice cream party that made a yum-my yummy mess. We had a special show, the “Yellow Sneakers" crew, we learned about healthy eating that's good for me and you. In art we made moons from foamy paint that shined so bright It reminded us of Rosh Chodesh and Van Gogh’s starry night We can't wait for Monday, so rest up and get excit-ed For another great week we are so delighted!!
Tziporim Can you believe six weeks have already gone by?
We could not be having more fun, even if we tried.
On Monday we had baking where we made a delicious coffee cake.
With all the stirring, pouring, mixing, and crushing, it was so much fun to make.
In kinder dance we did freeze dance, animal action ,and an obstacle course.
We had to pretend to be a bunny, lion, and horse.
In art we made the moon and beautiful pencil cases,
At lunch we ate some yummy spaghetti, and got sauce all over our faces.
In gym we got to choose what we wanted to do,
From basketball, football, soccer, hula hoops, and hurdles too.
In science we made ooblek, which depending on the pressure changes from gooey to firm,
We all got to try it, while waiting patiently for our turn.
This week we celebrated pajama day.
We all came to camp in our pjs ready to play.
We had a slumber party where we got some delicious snacks like chocolate milk, marshmallows,
and pirates booty.
We ate breakfast for lunch, and lounged with our pillow and blankets, while we all watched a
movie.
On Thursday we stayed in camp, on account of the rain,
But no worries we had a super fun time with a show and scavenger hunt game.
We would like to welcome Noah, we are so glad to have you here,
And a goodbye to Leila, we hope to see you next year!
For one last time please relax and get ready for week seven, the last.
With so many exciting things planned, it is going to be a blast.
Shabbat Shalom!

PJ DAY!
We enjoyed another fun-filled week at MDS camp. Pajama day was a blast! It was "dreamy" seeing all of our campers and counselors walking around camp in their cozy PJ's. Our Pillow project, breakfast muffins and Brunch for lunch added to our special day. Watching a movie in the MDS Movie Theater with all of our friends - and some yummy snacks - was the best!
While we were a little sad that the weather didn't cooperate....AGAIN for our trip to the N.Y. Aquarium, we enjoyed the shows that Yellow Sneaker produc-tions performed. Our scavenger hunt took us to all many different places around the building and at each location we had a "task" - we set tables. built with blocks, did jumping jacks made our hand prints in paint and much more! The final clue led us to an ice cream party!! I am looking forward - but I can't believe I am writing this - to an awesome last week of camp! Shabbat Shalom !
Morah Marsha
A Message from Morah Marsha
Another week of fun filled activities has flown by here in the Malkot! Pajama day was a snuggly fun day!! We started off the day with "coffee cupcakes" which we baked the previous day! They were delicious! Then we had breakfast for lunch!! We ate waffles with syrup, eggs, and smoothies! After lunch we got to cuddle and snuggle up with our pillows that we decorated in art for PJ day, while we watched Toy Story! It was a blast! In art this week we decorated pillows for Pajama day, as well as stuffed cats. Each girl decorat-ed their own cat in a different and beautiful way. Some girls used patterns with the fabric paint, while others used fabric markers and buttons. They look great! In science, we have been experimenting with metal and trying to see which objects are mag-netic. Each girl received a magnet and had to search in the sand box for objects that would stick to it. We found out that pennies are not magnetic, while paper clips are! Such amazing discoveries. Afterwards, we painted with marbles in a box, and directed the marbles where to go by putting a magnet under the box and pulling it from side to side!! Although we did not make it to the Aquarium again, we had a blast in camp! We had a scavenger hunt around the building. We had to read the different rhymes we got from Morah Marsha and had to figure out where to go. Once we got to the area from the clues, we had to complete an activity. In the art room we painted our handprints. In the gym we had to score soccer goals, and much more!! Our prize for completing the hunt was ice cream for snack!! yummy!!! What a great week!!! Don't forget to rest up for the next and last week of camp!!! Have a great weekend and a good Shabbos, Your Malkot Morahs
Malkot
It's hard to believe how fast camp is flying by! It's probably because of how much fun we're having! This week we had pajama day! In preparation we made coffee cake in bak-ing and decorated our own pillows in arts & crafts! After getting in the pool everyone got dressed in their favorite PJ's! We had special brunch lunch of eggs, hash-browns, pasta and more! To top it off we had a special movie in the gym with treats and our pillows!
Because of weather we had to cancel the trip to the aquarium.....instead we stayed dry at camp with a special puppet show and a scavenger hunt! We capped off our week with our last Friday and Shabbat party singing special songs and eating special treats in honor of Shabbat!
Reminder that next week is the last week of camp and that this coming Thursday (8/15) is the last day of camp and will be ending normal time at 3:30.
Wishing you an amazing weekend and Shabbat Shalom,
