Disabled Voters Advisory Council– Election Report
A Moral Obligation!
Dear Friends and Neighbors of District 7,
"We have been successful through the efforts of the Disability Task Force, creating advocacy for a number of important issues within the disability community. Taking an inclusive approach to the challenges those with disabilities face every day helps to shed light on these concerns.
With over 100,000 Detroit residents that are considered disabled. The Disability Task Force must continue its mission of working alongside our disability advocates to make the necessary changes to be a more inclusive city for all. In this upcoming budget year, I will continue to work hard for the disability community, ensuring that these recommendations from the Disability Task Force are at the table.” - Councilman Gabe Leland

Neighborhood Framework Public Meeting
Staying on top of health matters takes dedication and awareness. That's why Councilman Leland's office believes in supporting our residents with programs that promote all-around wellness. The Councilman would like to invite you to Third New Hope Baptist Church for a Community Help Fair. Councilman Leland's office held a District 7 Commu-nity Health Fair over the summer with over 200 resi-dents in attendance. We look forward to bringing the community together for another successful wellness event in 2020.
