second leading cause of death among college students. Be the
difference for at Cabrillo. This 8 hour certification course will
prepare you with the skills, words, and actions to reduce
mental health stigma, encourage help seeking behavior, and
promote a culture of safety for our students and the campus
community.

Take Action: Promote Sustainability and Social Justice Are you interested in learning more about how to promote
sustainability, social justice and environmental awareness in
your course but not sure where or how to start? Why not
spend the day helping us build a “Solar Suitcase” to help spark
some ideas? We will discuss how the impact of one invention,
the “solar suitcase” can be transformative to energy-deficient
places around the world, including our own community. Not an
engineer…not a problem. These blue boxes have been built by
middle school children in the East Bay, so you got this!

beginners or those needing a refresher. The session will provide
an overview of Canvas fundamentals and best practices, and
include hands-on time with Canvas tools, such as creating a

performing their assigned job duties. Training is required
initially upon hire and annually thereafter. This training is
introductory in nature and designed to provide a basic
