General survey on topics of Thai history and culture
Themes include history, politics, customs, identity in Thailand
Emphasis on recent ecological, social, and economic transitions
Included: Short-term village stay for enrichment
Volunteer Component
•June 23 – 29, 2013
•Fourth week of program is spent volunteering with a local organization.
•Many NGOs in region to choose from
•In 2012, students worked on a sustainable farm and at an elephant conservation camp
