HOST FAMILIES NEEDED

CAPITAL DISTRICT - The Do-ane Stuart School in Rens-selaer, NY is in their second year of their international student program. The school recently announced it will be bringing in even more students in the fall. So the school is looking for host families within a 30-minute radius of the school. Most of the current students plan to graduate from Doane Stuart and hopefully get into an American college or univer-sity. The schools have noted that being so far from home and doing something so im-portant can be a lot of pres-sure on these students, and that a good host family can make all of the difference to these students. The stu-dents look to their hosts and peers to learn about Ameri-can culture. For instance, many of the students who have never seen snow have taken an interest in snow-boarding and also snow tub-ing. The students are from various parts of China and have very diverse interests. Some of the students have become very interested in basketball and play on the high school team and others have formed bonds based on a mutual appreciation of video games. The students have even created a Chinese Club at the school to teach American students about Chinese customs and tradi-tions. To learn more about the program visit www.gphomestay.com or e-mail info@gphomestay.com

There is a $40 fee which includes a book and all handout materials. Registration is necessary and limited to 28 attendees. Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 22, 2014. PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN (Never known to fail). Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary con-ceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me, I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted. Favor granted. M.S.
