Choose a small bean or seed. Nearly any type of

bean can be sprouted, but small beans are

generally the healthiest choice. Many large bean

varieties are more likely to develop mold upon

sitting in moist conditions for prolonged periods of time.

• Mung beans are the most commonly used bean for

sprouting.

• Adzuki beans, lentils, alfalfa seeds, fenugreek seeds,

and cabbage seeds are also fairly small and easy to

work with.

Mung beans

Mung beans The mung bean, alternatively known as the moong bean, green gram,

but not mungo or mingo, is a plant species in the legume family. Native

to the Indian subcontinent, the mung bean is mainly cultivated today in India, China, and Southeast Asia.

The adzuki beans The adzuki bean is an annual vine widely grown throughout East Asia

and the Himalayas for its small bean. The cultivars most familiar in Northeast Asia have a uniform red colour.

The alfalfa seeds These nutritious sprouts are high in antioxidants and are a great

addition to salads and sandwiches.

Fenugreek beans Fenugreek is an annual plant in the family Fabaceae, with leaves

consisting of three small obovate to oblong leaflets. It is cultivated

worldwide as a semiarid crop, and its seeds are a common ingredient in dishes from the Indian subcontinent.

Lentil seeds The lentil is an edible pulse. It is a bushy annual plant of the legume family,

known for its lens-shaped seeds. It is about 40 cm tall, and the seeds grow in pods, usually with two seeds in each.

Dal is often translated as “lentils” but actually refers to a split version of

a number of lentils, peas, chickpeas (chana), kidney beans and so on.

Tos biar kering,

kemudian

masukkan ke

dalam plastic

packaging .... 1 kilogram

kacang hijau

boleh

menghasilkan

7-9 kilogram tauge.
