Genetic conservation of breeds and sustained growth of livestock and poultry in terms of increase in production and
productivity through best veterinary Services, animal husbandry and dairy practices.

Functions
The Animal Husbandry Department is responsible for matters relating to livestock production, preservation, protection and improvement
of stocks and dairy development, formulation of policies, programmes and implementation, in the field of Animal Husbandry, Dairy
Development and Veterinary services.
