Your Student Number (8 digits – don’t include the 4 at start)
The access code is attached to your Text Book
Your Course IDs are

PHYS1022YR2013
These codes will be sent to you by email as well as being on
the web pages for the two courses
Registering for MasteringPhysics
Go to www.masteringphysics.com
Click “Students”
Click “Continue” Click “Continue”
Answer the question: “Do you have an access code?”
Select:
“Yes, I have an access code”
Registering for MasteringPhysics
Review the License Agreement and
Privacy Policy,
Click the button to continue
Registering for MasteringPhysics
Click “Next”
tip: use your email address as your login name:
it’s unique and easy to remember
On the Access Information page, you will be asked if your have a Pearson
Education account.
Click No, enter your
desired log in name
Enter and then re-type
your password
Enter your Access
Code and select Next

tip: University of Southampton is listed
Type your email
address (carefully –
this ensures you
receive messages)
Select your Country,
University name
Select a Security
question and enter
your answer
Click Next to submit
your registration

A Confirmation and Summary page displays,
indicating your registration is successful
A copy of the information will also be sent to the email you
entered
You are now
ready to log
into your
course
Enter your Log
In name and
password
under the Log
In section on
the homepage
Enter your Course ID
(given again at the end
of this presentation and
on PHYS1015 and
PHYS1022 webpages)
Enrolling on your Course
YES – please enter 8 digit number
DO NOT SKIP!
You need to enter two
course IDs. After entering
the first, click on
My Courses, and
Join Another Course
MasteringPhysics Course home page. View Announcements and upcoming
assignments. Navigate to your assignments.
NB there is no eText since the text is customised.

Click “Assignments” to view instructor
assignments/homework.
Read the
question and
answer all the
parts as
instructed.
