PET GAZETTE
The Importance of Annual Visits
At Canby Veterinary we take pride in our comprehen-
sive wellness visits. Not only do we offer complete
physical exams and blood-work, but we tailor vaccine
protocols and schedules individually based on age of animal,
health status and lifestyle.
This enables us to embrace wellness fully by eliminating un-
necessary over vaccination and focusing on health and wellness.
During a wellness visit at Canby Veterinary, you can expect a
complete exam which includes otoscopic ear exams, retinal
and fundic eye exams, eye pressure checks, oral exams, check-
ing of heart and lungs, abdominal palpation and assessment for
vaccination and parasite control (worms). We also emphasize
lab-work to help us catch diseases early, even before the animal
shows signs.
This is so important, especially in older animals, because our
pets by nature were designed to hide illnesses for self preserva-
tion. In other words, the ones who showed illnesses or weak-
ness were likely to become another animal’s lunch. Often times,
we as people overlook subtle changes in our pets, chalking it up
to “old age,” when in fact there may be conditions present that
we can treat simply with diet changes or by adding supplements
or medications in order to keep our small family members as
comfortable as possible.
Please come by today and help your loved ones experience
wellness at the Canby Veterinary.

LEGAL HELP
ihave been helping people file bankruptcy for over 25 years. no
one wants to file bankruptcy. But life has its ups and downs, and
the founders of our country put bankruptcy in the Us Constitu-
tion because anyone may need a fresh start.
Bankruptcy shouldn’t be your first choice. But you shouldn’t try
to borrow your way out of debt, or live in a fantasy world either. if
you have serious financial problems you should take advantage of
a free conference to find out what your rights and options are. the
worst thing is to do the wrong thing for your family and then find
out you had better options.
You don’t lose everything when you file bankruptcy. You usually
can keep your house and cars if you can afford them. You can
usually keep your business, and get rid of most of the debt like the
big corporations do.
Home foreclosure is a big problem. You should not lose
another night’s sleep without knowing your legal rights to stop
the foreclosure and force a plan to catch up the payments. Yes,
loan modifications are getting to be quite common. You should
simultaneously seek a loan modification and find out your legal
rights to file a chapter 13 plan of repayment.
Chapter 13 plans usually don’t require payment of your bills
in full. You are required to pay certain debts like taxes and child
support; you are required to pay what your income shows you can
afford to pay over a 36 month or a 60 month payment plan.
don’t try to figure this out yourself. every case has different facts
and different choices and requirements.
i have helped over 11,000 oregon families file chapter 7 and
chapter 13 bankruptcy. You can get an appointment in my office
the same day you call. if you need a same day appointment it will
be in newberg or Beaverton, but later appointments can always be
in my newberg office.
my office is the fastest to make appointments and the fastest
to help file your case, don’t accept any delay in getting your
information and help

YOUR HEALTH
snap Fitness congratulates Aurora residents nick nicholson and
Carol schultz on their new life. nick and Carol, both 59, began
their amazing transformation in January 2008 when they
joined snap Fitness. nick weighed 268 pounds and Carol 180. nick
now weighs 192 and Carol 144, losing 76 and 48 pounds respectively!
Working with a Certified Personal trainer they kept a food diary
and worked out 4 days per week on cardio and 2 days per week on
resistance training with weights. nick, who had been overweight his
entire life reduced his body fat 23.6% and Carol reduced hers by an
impressive 16.9%!
“Find a trainer who’s a good match for you,” said nick, “and take it a
day at a time. We both feel so good now. i wish i’d done this 30 years
ago but i was not ready. it’s true: people will not do anything until
they’re ready!” He says having a partner helps a lot, as did cleaning out
their closets as they went down in sizes. “i felt it was important to get
rid of the ‘too big’ clothes as i lost weight; no excuses or large cloth-
ing to fall back on. We are not going back. exercise and diet have
become part of our life.”
nick and Carol’s secrets of success:1. Joined snap Fitness togetHer.
2. Hire a Certified Personal trainer 2 days per week.
3. Kept a daily food log and counted calories
4. Cardio 4 times per week for 50-60 minutes.
5. resistance training 2 day per week (1 upper and 1 lower body).
