Customer manufacturers wind turbines that are shipped domestically on flat beds to areas experiencing high humidity & road salt.
Problem
• Parts were being shipped on flatbed trucks and could potentially sit for numerous months at site until install
• Parts were experiencing severe corrosion when finally unwrapped at customer site
• No UV protection with current film
Previous Process
• Customer was using 40ft wide sheets of 7mil non vci shrink film
• Customer was doing 3 separate wraps totaling 21mil
