• Please make sure that students are dressed for playground and P.E. activities daily.

Tips for a Successful Year• Teach a morning routine. All

materials in backpack• Start each day with a nutritious

breakfast• Bring a “healthy” recess snack

daily• Monitor TV, video games, and

computer activities• Provide a study area and a

homework routine at home• Sleep ten or more hours each

night (asleep by 8:00 pm)• Keep children home when ill

Minor and Major Behavior Reports Minor and Major Behavior Reports are issued to students who demonstrate problem behaviors as a way to reinforce the school-wide expected behaviors (R.O.P.E.S.)

GATE at Meadow Park• All GATE teachers maintain current GATE training certificates with

ongoing professional development throughout the year. • Meadow Park GATE news and insights will be communicated through the

emails .• IUSD GATE news will be communicated through the GATER Newsletter.• Specific classroom/grade level information will be sent home with

students. • Any questions about testing, general GATE qualifications, and the

Key Accomplishments:• Over $250,000 raised since inception (1993) • 2004 - 2015

– Over $130,000 raised over the past 10 years– Over $130,000 in technology related purchases including:

• iPads for all Meadow Park teachers• Full replacement of computers in the Computer Lab• Purchase and donation of over 100 laptops • Chromebook purchases for 6th grade resulting in a 2:1 ratio• iPad purchases for 6th grade resulting in a 4:1 ratio• 1 Chromebook cart• Teacher training• Printers and keyboards• Upgrades to the wireless network• Document cameras for the classrooms
