ChAIRMAN’S MESSAgEDear Students ,
I welcome all of you to Bansal Classes and earnestly wish success to each one of you.
And though I would sincerely hope that all of you make it to the respective institutes
that you’ve set your minds upon, what I mean by ‘success’ is something altogether
different. For me, success simply means being able to perform to your potential. For
example, an average student who by dint of his hard work makes it to the waiting list
of IIT-JEE, is for me successful than a superlatively brilliant student who because of
his complacence and casualness got a rank of 500.
Over the years, it has been my experience that the memories which troubles us most
are not those of our misfortune, but those that have the words ‘… if only I had done
that..’ embedded in them. So my only advice to all of you is this; be it engineering
entrance or any other endeavour in life, make sure that these
words never find a port of entry into the picture. Spare
no effort, work hard and live up to your potential.
Whatever follows will always be for the best.
That, according to me, is the simple calculus
of Karma.
V.K. Bansal, Chairman

The success story of V.K. Bansal seems something
like miracle. A will to survive made him a teacher.
His Courage, Determination and Vision changed the
course of fate & gave him a new lease of life. He has
learnt to live through teaching.
Born in Jhansi on 26th October 1949, Mr. Bansal had
his schooling in Lucknow, graduated in Mechanical
Engineering from Banaras Hindu University with
Honours in 1971 and began his career as a Mechanical
Engineer. He has two daughters and one son.
Many people know that the Bansal Classes is run by
an engineer, V.K.Bansal who had been working in
J.K.Synthetics Ltd. Kota. But few people know about
the man who turned to be a silent teacher quitting
from his engineering profession. The success of
his institute is the success of a man, who suffers
from muscular dystrophy disease. Life of Mr. Bansal
has been full of ups & downs. It had been bright
& cheerful till the age of 25 years but in 1975 he
was diagnosed with a incurable disease “Muscular
Dystrophy”. It was shocking when his efforts to get
treatment at AIIMS and many other hospitals in the
country failed. He consulted Ayurvedic Experts,
Natural therapists and even doctors in UK but with
no relief.
He became disturbed and l i fe was ful l of
disappointments. It was indeed a great misfortune.
While serving in J.K., as a mechanical engineer, he
continued his search to come out of his misfortunes.
In such a situation an advice from a doctor of London,
proved to be a boon for Mr. Bansal. The doctor
advised him to turn to teaching and forget about
the disease that had gripped him. It clicked and Mr.
Bansal says, “I had a sort of sensation in my mind
while reading the letter from the doctor and felt that
this could be the cure of my disease. “
He was not sure whether he could teach engineering
or other students but in 1981 he started tuitions,
not for money but for a change. The beginning was
made with a 7th class student while residing in J.K.
Nagar, Kota.
Mr. Bansal devoted himself to studies and teaching
students in such a way that he was left with no spare
time to think about his disability.
During this period he taught Engineering Entrance
Exam students. His first student to be selected for
IIT/Roorkee was Anoop Kothari. It was in 1985. The
number of selections went on increasing gradually
year after year. Results of his students were so
encouraging that students from all over India and
neighbouring countries started approaching him.
This built his confidence further. The number
of students who cracked IITJEE in 1986 from his
coaching classes was 3 and went upto 10 in 1990.
The number rose to 209 in 1999. In 1999, 10 students
were in the top 100 All India Rank.
Soon he had a new building constructed near
his house for coaching classes. It ran from 9 in
the morning till 9 in the night. Teaching students
in groups of 15 and managing everything with
dedication, devotion and hard work, became the
secret of his success.
About Bansal SirThe beginning was made with a 7th class student while residing in H.No. SQD-13, J.K. Nagar, Kota.

“Nothing endures but change”With these golden words of a philosopher I would like to welcome you to the new pattern of IITJEE. For
almost three decades Bansal Classes demonstrated excellence in mentoring IITians of tomorrow. With new
pattern at place we at Bansal Classes are ready with our team of experts to combat the war against growing
competition. Being the pioneers in the industry we have experienced a lot of changes in the pattern of
IITJEE examinations, but nothing could change the success of Bansalites. Our teaching methodology and our study
material has been redesigned to adapt to the new challenges in IIT entrance examination. With systems at place
and the constant search for excellence we are confident to deliver the best results this year also. I welcome you to
explore and cherish the new journey towards your goal with Bansal Classes.
PK Bansal - CEO

“Meeting the expectations”To reach heights one must start climbing and if the journey is difficult then perseverance is the key to success. As a
teacher I have realized over past years that success in IITJEE requires hard work and proper guidance. One must be
able to draw a line of demarcation among what to study and what not to. Bansal Classes with its unique teaching
methodologies have always proved that we meet the expectations of thousands of students and parents to make
their dreams come true. With changing patterns we have adapted ourselves to deliver the best and ensure better
results. I believe that changes motivate to move ahead and thus we welcome the new pattern of IITJEE with great
vigor to conquer it.
Sameer Bansal - Director
10
“Consistent Approach”Dear Student, I believe that your hard work should always be a vector quantity rather than scalar
one, which has a magnitude as well a direction. The efforts put by you will be the magnitude and our
guidance will be the direction to reach your destination of IITs and other competitve examinations.
It’s important to note at this juncture that the changing pattern of IITJEE will have several new
challenges to answer and a consistent approach will be required. I would reinstate the fact that our
R & D department under the guidance of our senior faculties has designed the curriculum to meet all the
requirements of the new pattern. The direction is assured, now it’s your turn to add magnitude to it.
Mahima Bansal - Director
11
“Constant source of motivation”A good academic support along with a conducive environment to learn is what Bansal Classes has developed over
the years. We not only cater to the academic requirements of the students but also provide a constant source of
motivation through counseling and expert lectures. Our dedicated team of faculties are always on their toes to help
the students, be it an academic or a non-academic need. We have nurtured a culture of healthy competition amongst
the students to motivate them to give their best. I am sure that our proactive approach towards best academic
delivery will beat all odds of competition.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) needs no introduction. They were designed to create an
environment conducive to the formation of world class Engineers and Technologists. The standards
of excellence maintained by these institutes are recognised and respected all over the world. The
degree awarded by the IITs is at par with those awarded by the best universities in the world. Today,
alumni of IITs occupy key positions in industry and academia globally.
Every year the IITs conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to select candidates for the four year
B.Tech., B. Pharm., five year B.Arch., M.Tech. and M.Sc. courses offered at their campuses located
in Kharagpur, Mumbai, Chennai, Kanpur, Delhi, Guwahati, Roorkee, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar,
Hyderabad, Patna, Punjab and Rajasthan. With the addition of new IIT’s the total number of IITs is
now 15 with total of 8384 seats.
About NITsNational Institutes of Technology - Established in various States as a joint and co-operative enterprise
of the Central and the State Governments concerned, as well as to provide engineering education
in India. Each REC (now NITs) was to function as an all-india institution admitting students from
all parts of the country. Fifty percent of the admissions of these institutions (each of which was be
meant to equipped for a total annual student intake of 250) was reserved for students from States
other than the one in which they were located. In addition to under-graduate courses, these Colleges
also offered Post-graduate courses in various fields.

Change is constant in JEE. That’s never been more true than it is right now. It’s why we work so hard to provide a curriculum and an experience that leaves our students prepared for just anything. We focus on the individual, but you learn best in class. At the same time, we make sure you gain fundamental skills that remain essential to be successful no matter what changes the JEE might have. The IIT entrance test pattern - The student will have to undergo two types of examinations i.e. JEE Main & JEE Advanced. Admission to IITs will be based on student’s performance in JEE Advanced and admission to IIITs and NITs will be based on student’s performance in JEE Main.Preparation for board exams is taken care of in class along with JEE preparation, which fulfil the prerequisites for admission in IITs, NITs & IIITs.

Study TechniqueAll students, regardless of their level, can benefit from improved study Technique. Bansal Classes’s highly effective study skills helps the students to develop a study process that works best for their individual learning styles and academic needs: This includes-Time managementEffective note-taking
skillsHow to study strategiesTest-taking techniquesBy streamlining the study process, students learn faster, retain knowledge for longer period and recall concepts with greater accuracy.
AssessmentsTo check the recital of every student we conduct review test at certain intervals. These tests are conducted on OMR answer sheets to give mock environment of IITJEE. These OMRs are then scanned through our latest OMR scanners to produce the result at the earliest.
which has seven to ten questions thrice a week in each subject
to be attempted at home.
These questions are based mainly on the current topic, as
well as it has some questions from previous topics also.
These problems are chosen in a manner that emphasis is on
thorough understanding & application of concepts taught till
date. Students are required to solve these problems at home
(in form of test) before they attend the next class. This routine
ensures that students become absolutely conversant with
concepts that they may otherwise rush through during the
progress of chapter theory. These questions are designed to
remove the minutest doubt of student and make his concepts
absolutely clear. DPP triggers the student’s thought process
and develops his temperament for formal tests so as to face
challenges with ease and confidence.
Problem Solving SessionsOur coaching programme introduces fundamentals and concepts in a very simple and understandable manner. The students are exposed to logically arranged sets of problems and exercise sheets to be tackled as home assignments. Doubt removal sessions are conducted to strengthen concepts and give rigorous practice on them. These sessions help in improving students’ question answering speed and improve their scoring ability.
Success edifice in steps
The first step for success is strong subject fundamentals. Once
the first step is firmly in place, they serve as foundation for
more advanced skills. If the first steps are loose, the foundation
for advanced skills becomes weak which makes one fragile.
Weak foundation does not support advanced concepts which
are required to crack IITJEE.
At Bansal Classes, we work hard to ensure high quality of
teaching. We put equal care to create a challenging and
positive environment that encourage and optimize learning
process.
As said by Mr. V.K. Bansal, Chairman & Managing Director of the
Institute, “to draw a parallel, we replicate exercises that serve
as sessions, and then tailor these sessions to the customized
needs of our students. Our curriculum is comprehensive, or
as I like to say, ‘engaging mindfully’. Each move we make is
focused towards the fact that we have to make best out of
our participants. We believe that building a sustainable future
for our students lies in supporting courageous learners who
dare to ask tough questions. We support them with the tools
of academic rigour to ensure that their insight and answers
are valid and useful.
To monitor day-to-day progress of the student, we have
developed a unique concept of DPP (Daily Practice Problems).
Under this system, every student is given informal test paper

Some of the most important features of the Content
1. Pattern Proof: The material developed is such that it pushes for the fundamental learning and thus it is perfect for any examination pattern. The practice of all exercises helps the students in gaining confidence to appear in any form of examination pattern. The Objective and Subjective exercises helps in the preparation of JEE, BOARDs, Olympiads and other forms of assessments.
a. The material and review tests combined help in LEARNING the subjects as well as the Examination Pattern Preparation.
2. Improvement in Examination Temperament: The diversity of pattern reflected in our DPPs helps in the constant practice in the same format of an exam and thus mentally prepares students to be calm and composed during examination hall
3. Concept Building: At the heart of science subjects, lay the ‘Core Concepts’, which is the philosophy on which this study material is developed. The students can develop a natural aptitude in the science subjects if the basics are clear at the fundamental level. Our material eliminates the need of rote learning thereby building strong concepts.
4. Practice on the old examination format: The exercises of the old examination preparation are added for each chapter, so as to mentally equip the students with the nature and level of questions asked in previous year’s examination
5. Retaining the concepts studied: With our invention of DPPs and the pattern of questions followed, it is possible for students to keep in touch with the previously taught topics. The structure of all DPPs is designed in such a way that it has 50% questions on the current topic and the remaining 50% on the previously covered topics.
6. Eliminates the need of any other guide or books: Since much of the efforts are already done in the preparation of this study material, from a variety of sources and self-preparation. Students save their most precious Time and Energy by only focussing on the material covered in our courses.
With the changing pattern and syllabus of the IIT-JEE and other Competitive examinations we adapt accordingly by bringing modifications to our course material, making it a live, most flexible and most comprehensive study companion.
24
Our Study Material is developed by our most experienced faculty members from a pool of vast resources, which includes self-preparation and framing of questions, carefully selecting the relevant part for the particular subject and modification to suit the requirements of competitive Examinations. The Study Material is presented to students in form of Booklets of individual chapters made in each subject and given to students.
The following are the ‘Tools of Preparation’:
1. Theory: The relevant concepts, examples, basics and explanation
2. Objective Exercise: Four sets of sub exercises which include Single choice, more than one correct, assertion and reason questions, match the columns, other miscellaneous questions.
3. Subjective Exercise: Three sets of sub exercises, which are of varying difficulty level
4. Exercise of old Competitive examination questions: JEE and AIEEE examinations problems of the particular topic.
5. Exercise for BOARD Examination preparation: NCERT based and Old CBSE Based questions, and practice questions for BOARD exams.
6. Class Notes: Important explanation by the faculties and general points of the chapter along with examples and practice questions.
7. DPPs: Daily Practice Problems, a set of 10-12 practice questions, which are given as an assignment and the structure of DPP, is that of a practice test, with the maximum marks and time mentioned. Also 50% questions are of the previous topics which help in constant revision.
8. Test Papers: Review and periodic tests, which are a constant assessment for the competitive exam.
The exercises and Theory is made per Chapter for each subject which focuses on concept building and fundamental learning from a very basic stage. The exercises are given as assignments, which are to be completed by students before coming to the next class and are discussed subsequently. This practice ensures the constant involvement of the student in learning the current chapter in every subject.
Contents and sequencing of the topics is designed keeping the ease of students in mind. Starting from the easiest to the complex, the material becomes extensive and explanatory. The gaps are filled with relevant examples supporting the theory. An essential and interesting theory is rendered by stressing on practical applications and solved examples. The key points summarise the chapter and a worksheet is mentioned at the end of each exercise to note down the questions which should be revised at during examination time. NCERT books and other reference books are also given to classroom students for general practice and supplemental study.
The mantra of our success is skill building which not only involves macro level studying but also in depth analysis at the micro level, the tools help in achieving this goal.

About NEET-UGKeeping the stress of the countless entrance exams that were conducted by every colleges/universities for medical admissions a
single medical entrance exam is been planned. This single entrance exam NEET will reduce the stress on students and will be the
first country-wide common entrance examination for 42,000 seats, conducted by CBSE in 2013.National Eligibility-cum-Entrance
Test (NEET) for admissions to MBBS (NEET-UG) and Postgraduate Courses (NEET-PG) will be prepared by the National Council
of Education, Research and Training (NCERT). The NEET will be the only entry route in nearly 42,000 MBBS seats in private and
government medical colleges, adding that the mammoth examination would be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary
Education. The admissions through NEET will be applicable from the academic year commencing from 2013-14.In every possibility,
the prospered NEET is likely to be an extension of AIPMT. With NEET turning to be a single entrance for medical admissions, the
number taking this examination is likely to go up as compared to those taking AIPMT.

tions. Solving problems will help students to prepare for other Medical entrance exams, board exams and Science, Biology

Ideal Class
At the beginning of the academic session, the batched of the students are formed on the basis of their performance in the
entrance test. Later the batched are formed and shuffled on the basis of review tests conducted on a predefined schedule. This
helps students to develop competitive spirit and aspire to get ranks. This process generates a homogenous group of students
based on their ability to perform in the competitive exams.
Regular Assessment
Bansal Classes conducts test after every five weeks. Performance in these tests helps
students to overcome their hesitation for the exams. Our tests are designed, timed,
conducted and evaluated with an objective of providing a simulated environment for
the student to develop confidence for the final exam. Our test helps to learn how
to deal with a problem and develop a right approach towards every question. The
performance in the test provides the feedback of the areas one needs to improve.
DPP
DPP or the Daily Practice Problems sheet is the perseverance factor that singles us
out. We are the pioneers in developing this technique and it is very effective for the
preparation of competitive exams. Our DPP ensure the revision of pervious topics
along with quizzing the mind for the current topic. It helps students understand and
enables self assessment so as to find out the weak areas.
Personalised Attention
At Bansal Classes every child is important as we understand that the career of a child
is to be nurtured by us. We take care of every student enrolled with us. Timely review
of individual’s performance helps us to support every student in his desired manner.

counsellors who offers objective feedback about the student’s concerns. He or she works together with the student in develop-
ing new perspectives on his / her concerns and coming up with new ideas to improve the situation.
Student Welfare
We are not only concerned with the academic performance of a student but also with his overall development as a human.

ment takes care of such aspects to make a student relieved from all other hassles so that he / she can focus only on studies.

How much hard work is expected from me?We first estimate the time required for non academic activities.
Sleeping 7 Hours
Eating 1 Hour
Commuting between home and Institute 1 Hour
Physical Fitness + Hobby + Socialising 1 Hour
Note that having accounted for all the non academic activities you have every day 14 hours (8 hours for self study and 6 hour
of classrrom coaching) at your disposal for academic activities. Now if you are really serious about joining IITs we expect that
you actually use each minute of these 14 hours for the purpose of studying. This includes school hours as well as time spent at
our institute. The more time you are able to study independently, better will be your chances of success. That is why choosing
an institute where you need to spend minimum amount of time is the best choice. Typically in the day you should be studying
for two hours for each subject at home, and attend the lectures at the institute for a period of three hours on an average.
We tell our students to cultivate the habit of investing in 14 hours (8 hours for self study and 6 hour of classrrom
coaching) of study everyday for next two years. If he/she does well in our entrance test we are sure of his intel-
lectual ability and we believe true intellect will be polished only after months of toiling and preparatory work.
At all India level there is fierce competition for getting into IITs. Approx. 4 lakh students write the exam and
only approx. 8000 get through, i.e. only about 2%. With our training you can improve the probability to many
folds. The major reason we believe why remaining students don’t make it is that they simply do not work hard
enough. We request the parents not to enroll their ward if he/she does not possess hardworking ability. Instead
of admitting students who do not work hard, we would like to admit a student of a lower rank in our merit list
who is actually capable of putting all the hard work.

Bansalite Parentdo more then minimumThe next several years will be challenging but also exciting. You’ll
see your ward grow from a child into a confident student ready
for career pathway. Your child needs you and your experience
to decide his/her future. Once you believe that IIT is your ward’s
final destination, there are some simple things you can do to
help your ward’s preparation.
Be Prepared: What are my ward’s strengths and weaknesses?
How we can help him or her to improve? Simply admitting your
ward in an institute doesn’t mean success. Success is a result of
cumulative efforts of student, the institute as well as parents.
Be clear: Communicate your expectations to your ward. There is
no doubt that getting through IITJEE needs enormous amount
of hard work and practice. To get selected amongst the top 2%
of the country’s brain, a student must be prepared.
Encourage: Insist that your child attends every single class,
complete his daily assignments, clarify doubts instantly and
takes his tests honestly. Our test helps students gain confidence
and classes pursue him to be regular. Remind your ward that
tests are meant to measure how well he or she understands a
particular subject.
Parent are advised to keep in touch with their wards performance
through our test results displayed on our website. Communicate
with your ward about test results and set some academic goals.
Check your ward’s class note books to see how regular he / she is
in attending classes. Meet the counsellor and know more about
your ward’s performance. Sometimes students need help, but
don’t know how to ask for it.
Academically, these help him/her to further develop and
enhance his/her skills and attributes. We focus on the overall
competitive skills. We begin by strengthening fundamentals.
Our faculty develop a firm understanding of the learning issues
of students and work in close collaboration to achieve the most
effective strategies of learning. This will eventually enable your
child to be successful in IITJEE.
