Greetings Warlords families and friends!
September is here and fall is knocking on our doors! Our last two soldiers, CW2 Ben Coon and SPC Joe
Philpott, are wrapping up R&R. In the past couple weeks, we’ve seen some clouds and rain here at
Bagram and while flying around our local area. 1SG Dennis recently remarked that the weather is start-
ing to resemble the weather when we first got here—all signs that the deployment is wrapping up for
the Charlie Warlords! I know that the soldiers are excited to get out of here, but we are still keeping our
eye on the mission and doing everything we can to stay safe in all our daily duties. We’re looking for-
ward to leaving Wheeler-Sack and seeing the sections of fence decorated for our homecoming. We
truly appreciate everything you’re doing to enable us to do our jobs here.
September should also bring company t-shirts. Thanks to CW2 Aaron McFarland, the newest Warlord,
for taking charge of that project! He has also done a great job with stocking the office with snacks and
drinks for those long days when you fly through breakfast and lunch.
Happy birthday this month to CW3 Casey Pfannenstiel and CW2 Brian Metzler!
All the best in September,
CPT Kristen Beyer
