What is the Carolina Care Pharmacy Network (CCPN)?
• Network of 4 outpatient pharmacies serving employees, discharging patients, and the PAP patient population.
• Includes the Carolina Care at Home (CC@H) discharge program which is a Meds-To-Beds Delivery Program.
• Works closely with the UNC Pharmacy Assistance Program (PAP) to connect vulnerable patients to hundreds of medications for no cost at all!

At the end of the program, a CCPN intern should be proficient in the following areas:
• Staffing in various outpatient pharmacy settings • Eligibility and utilization of the UNC Pharmacy Assistance Program (PAP)• Understand and employ methods to reduce overall healthcare costs associated with
prolonged hospital admissions by optimizing discharge procedures• Communicate effectively with various members of the healthcare team to improve
Discharge times, patient satisfaction, and increase use of UNC outpatient sites• Self-directed learning, self-motivated, and ability to follow-up on a multitude of projects

Positions Available • 1 PY1 Student
Commitment • 2 year paid internship
Time Requirements
• Summer After PY1: 40 Hours/Week Onboarding (2 Months– May/June or July/Aug)
• During School Year: 4 Hours Weekly• During Rotation: Just Staffing (No Weekly Project Commitments)• Subsequent Breaks: Flexible
Staffing Requirements
• Every third weekend in Central Outpatient Pharmacy• One major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)• One minor holiday (MLK, Memorial, Labor Day)
