Previously owned by grandfather Nicholas Patrick Heade Sr., from Ardee, County Louth, Ireland, during immigration to Portland in 1921. Strathmore chanter by Murray Henderson, Scotland.

Original Compositions PublishedContemporary and Traditional Music for the Highland Bagpipe, Vol 4, released by Bruce Gandy, Nova Scotia, 2005. Gandy is credited by many with raising the international standard of modern bagpipe repertoire when his series first appeared in 1994. Compositions requested by Gandy include West & Liberty, hornpipe; A Flashlight in the Lantern, jig; Council’s Jig; Rachael Heade is Home, jig; Sweet Alistair’s Lullaby, slow air.
