Port Team Set For Second Victory Set Sail For Gay Paris
City of night life, beautiful girls, s idewalk cafes, and amor-ous Frenchmen. Yes, Gai Paris . On Saturday night, every one of Port 's students will have a chance to visit this exotic city of beauty.
This is to be the theme of t h -first dance of the year, presents by the hard-working staff of t h . Port Weekly on October 7th, in our cafeteria.
The cafeteria will b s magically transformed into ths city of laughter, including all the " t r im-mins". Walk under the Eiffel tower, past the sidewalk cafe, and find out for yourself about the fabulous French night clubs, for in our cafeteria a replica of a famous night club has been constructed.
All students who have not yet gotten dates, rush to the nearest telephone and call the girl of your dreams, as this will be the "dance of dances" at Port High this year. Be sure not to miss "Gay Paris ."

Lecturer I n Assembly
Eskimo in the World" is to r e -turn to the States and to the schools served by School Assem-bly Service this season. He just appeared here a t the assembly this morning.
"NUTCHUK" SIMEON OLIVER This is Nutchuk's third tour of
the States and each has been more successful thian the last. He has been back in his beloved Alaska for two years working,
(Continued on page 3)
Ends: Krepla: A hard hitting end who is tough to beat on the defense. A good recovery man.
Wright: An end who has some talent on the pass receiving end. Tackles:
Dann: A good defensive tackle but no match for Caruso.
Christman: a generally good guard behind that hard charg-mg line. Guards:
Becker, and Chicosky: The leaders behind Manhassets hard charging line ought to figure in with Manhasset 's entire outlook. Center:
Clark: A man who is always known to hold the center of the
j line, i Backs: I Brink: The ball handling of
Brink on the Manhasset team overpowers Cosilito, but Cosilito
I has better passing ability. I Kuskay: A good back but he
doesn't have the experience of ' Aldo Dummer Wagner. Both all
around backs but don't balance Zahn and Booker.
These are the starting lineup lor the Manhasset and Port game this Saturday. These are ."iample predictions of the l ine-ups and are not intended to be exactly accurate. Manhasset's predictions are taken from the news story of the Oyster Bay Game.
Mr. Horton, who scouted Sat-urday's game with Oyster Bay, reported that Manhasset back-field is in fine shape. With Brink leading the attack, the batt le is going to be a tough one but we feel will come out on top.
P.W. FIRST STRING Ends:
Zirpolo: Zip is an outstanding left end. Should be called "Glue Fingers Zip" the way he can hang on to the ball.
White: Our Right End is well covered by Victor White who is noted for the cpr.ing in his legs. Tackles:
T. Cosolito: Tommy Cosolito is a hard hitting tough tackle who has a wonderful knack for "Submarining".
Caruso: Our tackle who has re-joined us after starring at Staunton Military Academy. Guards:
Bilanski: Al is a P.G. and s left guard who can be counted on to give a real fight. Shoulc' be known as "Hard Hitting Bi-lanski".
DeLan: Right Guard. Center:
Pulaski : A center who is al-ways right in the "middle" of things. Backs:
Muratore: The winner of the Fra t ry Sportsmanship Trophy last year. He is back for a P.G. and is one of our "Key" men in the back field.
Zahn: Two hundred pounds of muscle and grit. Has been play-ing Varsity Football for four years. Watch how he gains ground.
Booker: Book is one of our al l -round atheletes and a dan-gerous catcher.
B. Cosolito: Bart is also a P.G. and handles the ball like an AU-American.
PORT TEAM SET FOR After last Saturdays game
with Garden City Ports Blue nd White team is set for its econd victory against Manhas-
set tomorrow at 2:00. While Port was blasting Garden
.ity last week, Manhasset was usy ruining Oyster Bay's 12-
,ame winning streak with a 19-pasting that left little to be
desired. Manhasset's fast break-ng T backfield features the tal-ented Bob Brink. Manhasset has von two in as many starts.
Port on Saturday showed a good strong defensive and a oowerful offensive sparked by Charlie Zahn Aldo and Bart Cosilito. The line was in there every minute doing a good job of supporting the backfield. ,
Port should take the game if the breaks are right but only Saturday can tell the outcome. If Port overtakes Manhasset we should go on to the class B championship.
October 7—Port Weekly Dance— Cafeteria—8:00 to 12:00.
October 9 — J V Football—Man-hasset a t Port .
October 12—Football at Roslyn. October 16—JV Football—Roslyn
at Port . October 21 — Football at West-
bury.
Class Elections The class elections were held
ast week. Everyone was satis-ied with the re turns .
