The anti-lock braking system on the 350Z and G35 was designed with safety and comfort in mind and
does not maximize braking performance under track conditions. Additionally, the system has been
known to become confused by debris interference with the wheel sensors as well as extreme operation
during track/racing conditions, creating a sudden and dangerous reduction in braking ability (A condition
sometimes referred to as “Ice Mode”). The NextRev distribution block is designed to eliminate the
system in the most “plug and play” way possible utilizing factory line locations and connections.
Note that the NextRev Motorsports VDC Delete Brake Distribution Block will eliminate certain safety
systems such as Vehicle Stability Control, Anti Lock Brakes. Additionally, removal of these systems will
result in the illumination of dash warning lights and the triggering of diagnostic codes.
Warranty and Disclaimer
All NextRev Motorsports brand products are intended for Off Road Use Only. While reasonable
precautions and sound engineering principals are used in the design of all NextRev products, use of the
product is conducted with the acknowledgement that modification of sports cars and racing is
potentially dangerous to property and people. NextRev Motorsports shall not be liable for any special,
incidental, or consequential damages related to the installation or use of its products including but not
limited to failure of the product itself. ABS Delete Brake Distribution Blocks carry a one (1) year non-
transferable limited warranty to be free of defects in workmanship and materials from the date of
purchase. NextRev Motorsports will at its discretion elect to repair or replace a block that fails to meet
satisfactory quality criteria. NextRev Motorsports will not be liable for defects or damage not related to
the manufacture of the product including but not limited to accident, misuse, alteration, improper
installation, over torque of fittings, cross threading of fittings, the installation of fittings with prior
damage, or unforeseeable use. NextRev Motorsports makes no other warranties, expressed or implied,
including limitation warranties as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Principal of operation
The ABS Delete Brake Distribution Block replaces the OEM VDC actuator and pump in order to
redistribute brake fluid pressure from the master cylinder directly to the front caliper lines, and to the
rear caliper lines through a brake proportioning valve (not supplied). Note that the Brake Distribution
Block MUST be used in conjunction with a brake proportioning valve, as the ABS/VDC system otherwise
controls front to rear brake bias. NextRev Motorsports recommends the Tilton Lever-Type Brake
Proportioning Valve (part number 90-1003). Additional ports on the Brake Distribution Block may be
utilized for pressure sensors to independently monitor front and rear circuit brake pressures. See Figure
1 and Figure 2 for routing diagram and port call outs respectively.

on block revision.

Installation
1. Carefully remove brake lines from the VDC actuator. Unplug electrical connectors for the
pump/actuator and remove the nuts on either side of the actuator body. Remove actuator and
leave the mounting bracket in place.
2. Install the NextRev Motorsports Brake Distribution Block onto the factory VDC bracket using the
supplied M5x0.8mm bolts.
3. Inspect factory brake lines for damage to the threads or flare. If the flare is distorted or threads
damaged, the line must be replaced. The factory brake lines should line up closely to the correct
locations on the block (See Figure 2 for port descriptions). Place a drop of brake fluid on the
flared sealing surface of the ports in the block. Thread the fittings into the block being careful
not to cross thread. Fittings should be torqued to 12-15ft-lbs. If the connections leak after
installation, the fittings may be tightened another 1/8 of a turn. The Japanese 45 degree double
flare specification used for automotive hydraulic lines creates a seal by deforming the seat to
the flare in the steel hydraulic line. Over tightening of the fitting will cause permanent damage
to the seat or threads of the brake distribution block and will require re surfacing at the
customer’s expense.
4. For NR100-AB001 (Distribution Block Only) Utilize the -3AN “IN” and “OUT” ports to connect a
brake proportioning valve of your choice. Note that the “OUT” port should feed into the
proportioning valve, while the “IN” port should receive from the proportioning valve.
For NR100-AB002 (Distribution Block with Valve Line Kit) Connect the 90degree ends of the 18”
length -3AN lines to the “IN” and “OUT” ports of the Brake Distribution block. Route the lines
above the factory brake lines running along the firewall and mark locations for two bulkhead
fittings. Drill two .397” holes in the firewall and install bulkhead fittings with the 90degree end
on the engine bay side of the firewall. See figure 3 for approximate location of bulkhead fittings.
Install brake proportioning valve on the dashboard within 20” from bulkhead fittings. Install all
lines, making sure that the “OUT” port feeds into the proportioning valve, while the “IN” port
receives pressure from the proportioning valve. Mount proportioning valve in a position that is
easily accessed by driver while strapped in. Size and source additional -3 AN lines (not included)
to run from the valve to the bulkhead fittings.
