Sunflower Oatmeal
Prep 5 Min | Cook 10 Min
INGREDIENTS Oatmeal 1-‐Cup Water ½-‐Cup Instant Oatmeal 1-‐Teaspoon Cinnamon 1-‐Teaspoon Maple Syrup 1-‐Teaspoon Sunflower Seed Butter ½-‐Apple (I used Pink Lady but you can use your favorite) 1-‐Date Toppings 1-‐Tablespoon Favorite Granola (mine is Almond Butter Granola from Trader Joes) ½-‐Banana ½-‐Apple 1-‐Teaspoon Sunflower Seed ½-‐Cup your favorite milk (I use Almond Milk)
NOTES 1. If your oatmeal seems firmer
than you like, add more water during the simmering process.
2. You can add whatever toppings you like but the ones I have listed are my favorite, you could try adding raisins or walnuts.
3. Be prepared to be very full!
DIRECTIONS
1 Pour 1 Cup water into a saucepan, cover and bring water to a boil.
2 While you wait for water boil cut whole apple into small chunks, slice ½ banana and cut date into small pieces
3 Once water has come to a boil reduce heat and add ½ cup oatmeal, cinnamon, maple syrup, 1 teaspoon sunflower seed butter, pieces of date and ½ apple.
4 After all ingredients have been added stir and let simmer for 5-‐7 min or until Oatmeal is at your desired consistency.
5 Once done cooking remove from heat and pour into bowl
6 Now the best part! Add your toppings ½ banana, ½ apple, 1-‐teaspoon sunflower seed butter, and your favorite nut milk.
