KIDS* III Project Overview
For 14 of Lane County’s 16 districts Data Warehouse
services will be provided by Lane ESD via a contract with
Willamette ESD’s data warehouse.
Data Warehouse
Six established data warehouses in Oregon
Every district in Oregon must be affiliated with one of the six data warehouses
by October 2009.

• Technical Training Development – RFP to develop curriculum awarded to Clackamas ESD
Lane ESD is represented on the
KIDS and DATA Project Task Forces, and will coordinate training for Lane County Schools.
DATA Project• Creating a Data Culture
• Data to Improve Student Learning in Districts and Schools
• Data to Improve Student Learning in the Classroom
Joint Project Plan/Coordination
Training Sessions will be provided regionally
What does this mean to you?
• Resources for making student and instruction decisions that are more informed and timely by providing…
• efficient access to data aggregated from multiple systems into a readily-accessible single point of access
• formats that are easy-to-use and present up-to-date information for timely decision making
• increased data validity (i.e., eliminates manual data aggregation)
• Tools and training for assessing district’s CIP progress for more frequent decision making cycles.
…continued
What does this mean to you?
• Increased knowledge on data analysis – for district staff– school administrators – teachers
• Access to statewide resources
• Collaboration with Lane ESD and other districts
Data Warehouse
Following are example “dashboards” available via Willamette ESD’s data warehouse.
“Dashboard” refers to the online graphic screen display that provides summary data from the data warehouse, with the option to “drill down” to detailed data.

Did we meet our goal?
Do you….- Have an awareness of statewide data
initiatives?
- Understand what the implications might be for your district?
- Have a sense of next steps and how you can access ESD’s services?
