Remember, our meeting is at the “Landeck Forester’s
Hall” at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26th.
Thank You
◊ Thank you to everyone that helped with our adult
senior luncheon on June 15th. It was a wonderful
day filled with laughter and conversation. Thank
you to Dave and Shelly Kroeger and their “A-
Team” they did an outstanding job organizing this
great event. Our day was highlighted with our
very own Paul Illig as the master of ceremony.
We were extremely grateful to Doc and Dorothy
Miller for their hospitality in the use of the Depot.
It was a wonderful day and it was a reminder that
we are blessed to be part of Landeck.
◊ Thank you to everyone who helped with the
Church basement clean up. About 20 adults and
youth came to help, the basement was completely
cleaned in record time. We will all be able to
enjoy our clean air conditioned basement today
for the feast of Saint John the Baptist with coffee
and donuts.
Updates
As you can see our shelter house is being
constructed. We thank Joe Youngpeter and his
family for this great gift in memory of Mark
Youngpeter. Please feel free to come and see the
great work that Keith and Kenny Rahrig are
doing. In addition, we are grateful for the
preparation work of clearing stones and digging
for electric work done by Blake Fischbach, Doc
Miller, Reece and Nyah Miller and all the
professional electric work done by Larry Kroeger
and Ed Paxton.
We have been in touch with the engineer many
times in the last month. We were hoping to get
started on the exterior of our Church by June but
we have had some delays because the companies
that have bid on the project, have now requested
to review all the paperwork from the original roof
company.
Welcome Father Andrew Wellman
We welcome Father Andrew Wellman today, as he
celebrates his first Mass here at Landeck Saint John the
Baptist at our 8:30 a.m. Mass. Since it is also the feastday
of Saint John the Baptist, we will have donuts and coffee
after Mass to celebrate our patron and to give people a
chance to speak with Father Andrew. Our youth will be
giving out Father Andrew remembrance cards, after
Mass, as a reminder to please pray for him as he continues
his ministry of loving God and serving others.
New 5:30 p.m. Mass
All are welcome to our new 5:30 p.m. Mass every
Sunday. As you have read in the bulletin and heard from
many people we are starting a new Mass with
contemporary music and a more thematic approach to
homilies. Please come and “See.”

Saint John the Baptist Prayer
O God, You raised up St. John the Baptist to
prepare a perfect people for Christ. Fill Your
people with the joy of possessing His grace,
and direct the minds of all the faithful in the
way of peace and salvation.
Grant that as St. John was martyred for truth
and justice, so we may energetically profess
our Faith in You, and lead others to the Way,
the Truth, and Eternal Life. Amen.
We welcome you to join us today, June 24th from 1:00
p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Delphos K of C, as we bid a
fond farewell to Fr. Johnson. Father Johnson will be
returning to India to spend more time with his family,
specifically his mother. Father Johnson has made quite
an impact on so many lives, young and old, during his
4 years here. Come celebrate all the memories and
stories that he has been a part of and give your best
wishes to a man that gave so much to the parishes he
supported. We want to wish all the best to Father
Johnson. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!
