WHO ARE WE?
The Self Storage Association UK (SSA UK) is an
Association comprised of self storage facility owners,
managers and suppliers. Our goal is to foster the
development of the self storage industry on a sound
ethical and professional basis. As the self storage
industry grows, our commitment also grows - to increase
public awareness, stimulate industry growth, remain up
to date with relevant business trends and provide
dynamic events and education to members and the
public. The SSA UK is also a principle member of
FEDESSA, the Federation of European Self Storage
Associations, representing self storage operators from all
across Europe.

The FEDESSA European Conference & Trade Show is being
hosted in Berlin on the 17th and 18th of October 2017, taking
place at the Maritim proArte. Our line-up includes leading
speakers and presenters from the business world of today plus
numerous self storage professionals from Europe and around the
world to provide insight, education and promote discussion and
growth.
A major highlight of the event is the Trade Show. This is the
biggest Self Storage Trade Show in Europe. An extensive range
of suppliers will be on hand to showcase their products and
services. Experts from industries such as security, software,
locks, insurance and construction will be geared up to
demonstrate, promote and sell the very best of their services to
delegates across two days and deliver an eye-opening trade
show experience!
The event focusses on education, networking and entertainment
and attracts over 300 owners, operators and investors in self
storage from across Europe and globally. There are numerous
networking opportunities where you can mix with potential and
existing customers including 2 dinners and a welcome drinks
function in the Trade Show.
To cap off the event, we save the very best for last with a gala
dinner presenting the FEDESSA Industry Awards to reward
excellence from within the industry. Nominees from across a
range of categories such as Manager of the Year, Outstanding
Business Initiative, Facility of the Year and Charity Initiative of
the Year compete for the prestige of winning an award in this
highly competitive marketplace.

Process and timelines
The sponsorship packages outlined in this document will be awarded on a “first come, first served”
basis, based on when they are received at the SSA UK office. The SSA UK reserves the right to
allocate trade stands based on customer preference and position of other similar trades.
Timeline for sponsorship and trade stands
February 14 At 13:00 London time the sponsorships and trade stands not taken by the major
sponsors will be released to supplier members. Note that stand preferences will
be allocated on a first come first served basis
NOTE – Stands and sponsorships will only be secured on submission of a
completed booking form and payment of the £400 non-refundable deposit
February 28 Remaining sponsorships and trade stands released to non-member suppliers
March Registrations open for conference and first promotional material released
This timeline has been set to give maximum exposure of our sponsors and exhibitors to the
delegates and general members during promotion of the event. The 2016 sponsorship was
oversubscribed and the trade show sold out despite being the biggest ever held in Europe, so don’t
delay.

AWARD SPONSORSHIP £750
Sponsor one of the FEDESSA Industry Awards to be presented at the final dinner. Sponsors receive naming
rights for their award. Your logo and/or name is associated with all the promotion of that award. Your name
is on the award trophy and you can present the award and give a short speech at the Awards Dinner.
Sponsors will also be recognised in the promotional piece on the winners in Focus magazine and on the SSA
UK and FEDESSA websites.
SPEAKER SPONSORSHIP
This year’s conference is going to have some fantastic speakers from a range of business and industry
backgrounds.

CORPORATE GIFTS OR YOUR OWN SPONSORSHIP IDEAS
Do you have a branded product or idea for a product that you
would like to add to the delegates’ bag? Have you got an idea for
sponsorship that is not listed in this document? If so, we
encourage you to contact the SSA UK to discuss your proposal as
we welcome any opportunity to promote your business at this
event. In 2013 a sponsor provided umbrellas for delegates, which
provided useful in the London weather. In 2014 there were pop
out maps of Stockholm. We can either source and brand these
products for you or use products that you supply yourself. Be
creative and consider a product that will be useful to delegates
both at the event and afterwards to retain your brand presence
after the event. You could even have your gift dropped into
delegates’ rooms to greet them when they check into the Hotel.

TRADE SHOW STAND DETAILS
The standard trade stand size is 3m x 2m although there is scope for larger or open stands, contact the SSA UK for
more details about a bespoke trade stand solution for your business.
The Trade Show is in a dedicated secured room adjacent to the main plenary session room. All meals during the day
including breakfast will be served in the Trade Show area which must be passed through to gain access to the plenary
room. A drinks reception prior to dinner on the Tuesday night will also be held in the trade area. The trade show will
open on each morning at approximately 8:30am for breakfast prior to the main session room opening at 9:00. It will
remain open for the duration of the event, closing at approximately 5:00pm on the Tuesday and 2:00pm on the
Wednesday. All meal breaks (other than dinners) will be served in the Trade Show area each day and it will open from
6:30pm to 7:30pm for pre-dinner drinks and canapés on the Tuesday night.
Bump in for the Trade stands will be on Monday October 16. It will be a staged bump in with the shell scheme and
stand alone constructions setting up in the morning and remaining exhibitors after 12pm. Bump out will be in the
afternoon of Wednesday October 18. There is access into the trade show area from a loading bay and street access
via a large lift. Access to the loading bay is limited so will be strictly on an appointment basis.
Each Trade Stand is £2,600 + VAT
Each stand includes:
• Walls 2.4m high matt anodised aluminium frame with white laminated infills
• Fascia matt anodised aluminium frame 24cm high with white laminate infill
• 1 x sign computer cut vinyl lettering on white laminate infill per booth
• Lighting - two spotlights per booth mounted on light track inside fascia
• Power – one 2 amp socket per booth
• 2 Full delegate tickets including all dinners and events
Additional Full delegate tickets, conference only passes (including access to trade show and session but no
dinner events), and dinner-only tickets can be purchased at a discounted trade price
• Printout of delegates attending the Conference (excluding those who have opted out)
• Exhibitors’ information included in the Conference Final Programme, in a Focus magazine feature prior to the
Conference and on the SSA UK and FEDESSA websites.
