Ferraz Shawmut FUSERBLOC disconnect switches areextremely durable, manually operated, fusible discon-nect switches. The switches employ double breakingcontacts per pole that ensure complete isolation of thefuse when the switch is in the OFF position. Keepingsafety in mind, all FUSERBLOC switches are suppliedwith fuse covers and line side shrouding as a standardfeature. These switches provide the ultimate in shortcircuit protection with the use of Ferraz Shawmut'sClass CC, J or L fuses.
These heavy-duty switches are designed with the mostup-to-date disconnect fuse and switch technologyavailable. Designed to suit the UL98 standard, theFUSERBLOC gives you the product that "makes andbreaks" power circuits on load. The FUSERBLOCswitches are tested and approved for use in the moststringent applications, such as "Service Entrance". Incase of welded contacts due to an overload or shortcircuit, the switch will not reach the OFF positionunless the contacts are truly open. The optional TESTfacility (up to 400A) enables testing of the control cir-cuit auxiliaries without switching the main contacts.This function provides a serious technical and com-mercial alternative to a separately wired push button. Awide array of handles are offered to meet OSHA pad-locking requirements and also meet different NEMAratings and defeater options.
