Remember that our luncheon is on Novem-
ber 20. It is also the last opportunity to get
tickets for the December 11th Holiday Lunch-
eon. Yes, that is correct, mark your calendars, shine your
shoes, December 11 is our last luncheon of 2014. If you
have not made reservations yet, see Martin Jennings or
Bob Peterson for ticket availability and seating. Tickets
are $18 single/$35 couple.
In recognition of veterans day this month, let us give
thanks to all veterans everywhere who have served our
country in peace time and in times of conflict. Through-
out our country’s history, their struggles have allowed the
achievement of freedoms for our country and those of
peoples in countries around the earth. We are all truly
indebted to your diligence and your sacrifices in upholding
the rights for freedom from tyranny and peace to every-
one.
From all of us to all of you, we wish you Happy Thanks-
giving! We wish good will for you this holiday season, love
all, prosper great relations with family and friends, and
have a wonderful holiday feast.
Big Sir Gary Stout
Our speaker for Nov 20 will be Marc Perl,
from our branch. Marc will talk about credit
and debit cards and how they work, as well as
tips about how to avoid fraud. He is a consultant to major
banks around the world about credit cards.
The new officers for 2015 will be installed at the No-
vember meeting, to officially take office in January.
The Holiday luncheon is on Dec 11. Remember to get
your luncheon tickets at the November luncheon ($18 for
one or $35 for 2). There will be music and a raffle and
good fellowship! Fred Jacobs

Wally @ 916-933-9599
The first week in November was the last tournament of 2014.
We had a two round tournament with the first round at Hag-
gin Oaks and the second round was held at Teal Bend.
In the A flight, Tom Baker returned from surgery on both
ankles to resume his dominance of the A flight. Bill Bertsch
shot a stellar 63 in the first round, but could not continue it
at Teal Bend and finished second. In the B flight, Bob Haines
recovered from heart surgery earlier this year to win the B
flight. Jerry Nakamura finished a close second only one
stroke back. In the C flight Gary Jones had the low net score
of the entire tournament to win the C flight. Ron Schultze
had a very nice round at Teal Bend to take 2nd. Russ Ryno won
the D flight, 10 strokes ahead of the next golfer. Mark Perl
and John Greenhalgh tied with Mark Perl winning the tie-
breaker for second place and John Greenhalgh placed third.
