Other Constitution issues requiring attention:
1. The constitution specifically states "Secondary Division" on the fourth line of
page one, consider inserting “Middle Level”.
2. Article II, Section 1: There is a typo on the first page "there" instead of "their" –
the question is does this require a vote rather than an editing correction?.
3. Article III, Section 2: Does the State Executive Council exist; and if so, is the
Executive Associate consider a member?
4. Article IV, Section 3 neglects to include “Middle School.” Adding “Middle
Level” would require a separate sentence as to exclude the requirement for state
officers and voting delegates.
5. Article V, Sections 1 & 2 needs to specify that only the Secondary level has
voting privileges.
6. Formatting corrections are necessary to correct the document alignment.
19
20
Recommended By-Laws Revisions
• 1. Article 1, Section 2, subsection a: Is the SLC "Spring" or "State" Leadership Conference? Or are they interchangeable?
• 2. Article 1, Section 2, subsection d: Is there a need to pluralize "representative" now that two CEAC members serve the state?
• 3. Formatting is an issue.
• 4. Article II, Section 1 & Article IV, Sections 5 & 6: font size issues
• 5. Article VI (entirety): questions regarding the finances of BPA is raised and a review by someone with appropriate knowledge is recommended.
• 6. Article VII, Section 1, Subsection D, #4: it is recommended that the letter"c" should be lowercase.
• 7. Article VII, Section 1, Subsection E, #1: The "Spring" vs. "State" Conference question again.
• 8. Article IX, Section 2: formatting issue
• 9. CEAC section: needs update for ML representative. Are the terms of office still three years?
