Rustin, a lifelong resident of Asheville, was a son of the late. Sal-lie Belle Hart and Fred D. Rustin Sr. He was a member of Taberna-cle Missionary Baptist Church and pastor of New Salem Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army vet-eran of World War II and a 1945 _____ _, graduate of Ste-
phens-Lee High School. He at-tended Moore-house College and Shaw Uni-versily. He re-tired from Seal-test Milk Prod-ucts in 1989.

wife Billie Rev. C. Rustin Sr. B d' R ti' oy us n; three sons, Collin E. Rustin Jr. and Gregory E. Rustin, both of Durham, and Lionel Griffith of Asheville; two daughters, Cathe-rine M. Rustin and Amanda Hen-son, both of Asheville; a brother, Fi:ed D. Rustin Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Catherine White of Asheville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church. The Revs. L.C. Ray, Willie Baker and Victor Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home. The body will remain at Hart Funeral Service until placed in the church one hour be-fore the service.
