Report on the Celebration of Swachh Bharat week- SRCW/DCFC Unit
In order to achieve the Status of Swachh Bharat, GoI has decided to organize a national level
campaign “Swachh Bharat Mission” across the country from 25th
September, 2014.
Keeping in above in view and as per the order received from Department of Social Welfare, State
Resource Centre for Women & District Convergence & Facilitation Centre (A unit of
Chandigarh Child & Women Development Corporation Ltd.) has started the campaign from 25th
September, 2014 and to be continued till 23rd
October, 2014.
Cleanliness drive in the premises of Empowerment Building sector-19 B

A cleanliness drive has been initiated in the premises of empowerment building sector 19-B
under the guidance and supervision of all unit heads (SRCW, DCFC, UTCPS, DCPU, WCHL &
Protection Centre) by the all present employee of all units. In this drive all the garbage and un-
useful waste material have been collected and dispose off in a proper way. A letter also prepared
with the request to Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation to take off the old collected
garbage and un-useful material from the premises of the building. It has also been decided by the
all staff member that they were clean their own rooms, tables and organize the files register and
other official equipment in a proper manner. During this celebration all the toilets inspected by
the concern unit heads and gave the direction to cleaning staff for proper cleanliness should be
made on daily basis.

The focus of these camps was to aware women on the village/area cleanliness and solid and
liquid waste management including the ways to do it and on safe sanitation, importance of
personal hygiene and safe handling and storage of drinking water etc.
All the Field officer and village/area coordinator have been sensitized and regular camps will be
organized during this period in all the PSKs area i.e. Bapu Dham, Dhanas, Sector-25, Daddu
Majra, Mouli Jagran, Ram Darbar, Khajheri, Palsora, Khuda Lahora and Kaimvala.
Problem Faced: -Take off of dumping Garbage/waste in the premises of office building
from last 6 months,
-Requirement of Grass cutter Machine Handle
Action Taken: -Letter written to Joint Commissioner, MC,
- All unit staff contributed for the purchase of new handle of grass cutter
machine

Kiran Sector 46, Senior Citizen Home Sector 43 & Observation Cum Special home
for Children sector 25. The heads of the institutions and the officials also

A Cleanliness drive started from 25th September, 2014 & it is continue in the institutions of Department of Social welfare Sector 17C, Children Home Snehalaya, VTC Asha Kiran Sector 46, Senior Citizen Home Sector 43 & Observation Cum Special home for Children sector 25, Working Women Hostel sector 24, Nari Niketan Sector 26, Children home for girls Sector 15, Empowerment Centre Sector 19 and Old Age home sector 15. Today, In the all homes grounds and the lawn Cleaning, watering the plants and cutting the grass in lawns & grounds of homes. In the Head office Sector 17 Building all the wastage material disposed off & other things clean in a proper manner. It has also been decided by the all staff member that they were clean their own rooms, tables and organize the files register and other official equipment in a proper manner. Awareness camps focus on Swachhtta/ Health and Hygiene at Poorna Shakti Kendra in the 10 different areas of Chandigarh. The women and the school children sensitized in the awareness camps regarding Cleanliness.
