Typical Antenna Alignment ProcedureTypical Antenna Alignment Procedure
Step 1 – Approximate Alignment
•Obtain accurate antenna positioning information for each site.•Manually align the azimuth plane using a magnetic or GPS compass.•Use a bubble level to approximate the level plane.
Step 2 – Accurate Alignment
•Use AN-80i Web Based Alignment Tool to obtain the highest RSSI value and the best SINADR ratio possible.Note: AN-80i Audible Alignment Buzzer may also be used.
Requirement•Installation crews at both ends of link simultaneously.•Access to Web Based Alignment Tool.

What if……..What if……..Continuous Re-Alignment Was Required?Continuous Re-Alignment Was Required?
•Man hours required to continually align antennas skyrocket. •Time consuming.•Requires trained personnel to always be on site.•Costly

Target MarketsTarget Markets
Systems that require frequent antenna re-alignment due to natural causes or equipment movement.
Systems with unknown or little information associated with the direction to friendly access points .
Situations where it is difficult to manually align antennas for acquisition and optimal signal strength.
Service Providers that have limited skilled resources in deploying wireless broadband communications systems.
Mobile to mobile communications over long distances utilizing directional antennas.

Deployment ConsiderationsDeployment Considerations
Cost to deploy is $13-18k per site.
Economic benefits of the solution increase as the need to move the Access Point increases. Eg: First Responder Quick Command Centers
PTP Directional Antenna links require BATS on both ends.
BATS not required where Omni Antennas are deployed.
