Welcome to R Rawlins Ltd. We've been established for more than half a century but while we are
rightly proud of our past, we are even more mindful of the significance of the future.
Our enthusiastic, helpful and professional approach to your specific building project means we can utilise our team, made up of reliable and trustworthy full-time staff and proven sub-contractors, to ensure the success of your plans. You see, they are our plans too. Put simply, you the customer are part of our
team. The biggest part.
A business lives and dies by reputation and ours is paramount to us. Our extensive work in new build, property development, commercial and residential refurbishment and expert experience with listed
buildings means we uphold that reputation.
Like the projects we undertake, we have grown, too. Allied to our growth we have developed this brochure to provide a platform for the stunning projects in which we have been proud to partake.
Delve inside and see for yourselves.
Before you do, let us remind you that the company was founded by Ron Rawlins more than 50 years ago and has since been handed over as a business to brothers Simon and Nick Toone, who
have taken the firm to a new sphere in its ongoing development.
Welcome
New build house West Wittering Beach
We were the main contractor on this project working with a consultant and an architect, managing direct
and sub contract labour and implementing CDM and health and safety.
This consisted of demolition of the existing house, dealing with utility companies to facilitate new services
and overseeing and redevelopment of the site. This we did within a budget and to a realistic time frame.

Building Projects
Cedar timber cladding was used to finish the
outside walls. A hardwood timber deck
structure was formed as a stainless steel and
glass balcony system used to guard areas. Great
care was taken with the choice of
materials given the exposed nature of the site.

Pagham Beach Estate
New build project Pagham Beach Estate. We demolished the existing railway carriage conversion and rebuilt a new
three-bedroom bungalow. Working as a team with architects and quantity surveyors, after initial problems in the ground,
we were able to carry out the project within budget and on time.
Before After
We worked with the client and developed their ideas to work within a budget. Mechanical and electrical schemes were
drawn up by our pro-active sub-contractors. Finishes and materials were chosen by the
client with our guidance.
We worked to CDM (Construction Design Management) to fulfill our health and safety obligations.
As you can see, the conversion is understated, sympathetic yet stunningly effective.
