B.Com. PROGRAMEligibility for admission to F.Y.B.COM.
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year degree course leading
to the Bachelor of Commerce must have passed the Higher Secondary School
Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination
with vocational subjects/minimum competency based vocational course conducted
by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and
Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed an examination of another University or Body recognized as
equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination.
Eligibility for admission to S.Y.B.COM. and T.Y.B. COM
Any who has studied in a College affiliated to the University of Mumbai can
seek admission to this College in S.Y.B.Com. or T.Y.B.Com. class provided he/she
has passed the F.Y.B.Com or S.Y.B.Com. examination respectively. Students from
any other University are required to procure Eligibility Certificate from the University
of Mumbai.

ABOUT BAL BHARATI2
Bal Bharati institution was established in 1957 by Bal Bharati Public Charitable Trust as an educational & progressive children's center to provide
informal education with an aim of “Making Children Happy” by focusing on all round personality development of the children. Over a period of time,
due to an increasing demand from the local community the informal education style was reformed to that of imparting formal education through the
establishment of Bal Bharati School in 1965. The next step forward was the formation of Bal Bharati Junior College in 1975 (Aided and recognized by
the Government of Maharashtra) providing 10+2 level of education in the Commerce stream. in
affiliation with the University of Mumbai came into existence in 1988 to impart Degree level of education i.e Bachelor of Commerce with specialization
in Accountancy and Financial Management. Bal Bharati Junior College of Science was started in 2016 providing 10+2 level of education in the
Science stream.
Bal Bharati is also recognized as a Gujarati Linguistic Minority educational institution in 2009.

BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES (BMS)
Eligibility :
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category) .

The main objective of the council is to organise & guide learners' activities to foster a spirit of unity & harmony.
GYMKHANA:
The College Gymkhana is managed by the Chairman nominated by the Principal along with the Gymkhana Secretary. The purpose of the Gymkhana
is to encourage learners to participate in indoor & outdoor games as well as intercollegiate sports competitions.
The college has in-house facilities for games such as Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, Badminton etc.
COLLEGE CANTEEN :
The Canteen caters to the needs of the staff and the learners by providing wholesome snacks and beverages throughout the day and is in
accordance with the latest guidelines prescribed by the University of Mumbai.
INDUSTRIAL VISITS :
The College shall attempt to organize one Industrial visit of one day in Mumbai during the 1st term and another Industrial visit of (overnight out of
Mumbai) during the 2nd term.
LIBRARY:
The Library has an excellent collection of text books, reference books, journals, periodicals etc. Its facilities and services exist for the benefit of its users : the
whole academic community of staff and learners. Library rules are devised to ensure the best service to the users. The college provides Library facilities for ex-
students with prior permission from the Principal, so as to enable them to acquire higher education.
Book Bank Scheme is also run by the college, through which needy learners are given text - books for use for each semester, as per the availability in the
library, absolutely free of cost.
PARTICIPATION OF TEACHERS IN ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL COUNSELING OF LEARNERS-
There is active participation of teachers in academic and personal counseling of learners. The learners are guided by the teachers in the process of
completion of their project work. Career guidance through experts and professionals are made available to learners. A specialised counselor is appointed to
counsel the learners in different areas.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. All learners are expected to uphold the dignity of the institution by their actions and behavior inside and outside the college.
2. At the time of admission, every learner shall sign a declaration and shall submit it along with the admission form, that he / she will abide by all the
rules and regulations and accept the decision of the College in all matters as final.
3. Learners shall not be permitted to enter the college campus without a valid photo identity card issued by the college. Every learner is required to
carry his / her identity card with him / her and shall present it for inspection when demanded.
4. Insubordination and unbecoming language or misconduct in any form are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a learner. Any form of 'ragging'
i.e. intimidation or humiliation of any learner by other learner is strictly prohibited and is liable to the most severe penalties including rustication of
the learner from the college.
5. Learners shall abide by the dress code specified by the college. Learners are not allowed to wear sleeveless, backless, short or skin-hugging
dress, and shorts / three-fourths, ripped or torn denim pants to college.
6. Learners shall attend lectures, practicals & tutorials regularly and attendance is compulsory. Absence from lectures must be specified in
writing and if illness is the cause, a medical certificate must be submitted to the office immediately after resuming attendance.
7. No learner shall collect any money as contribution for a get-together, educational visit, study notes, charity or any other activity without the
prior sanction of the College.
8. Learners are expected to take proper care of the college property and help in keeping the college premises neat and tidy. Causing damage to
the property of the college e.g. disfiguring walls, doors, fittings or breaking furniture etc. is a breach of discipline and will be duly punished.
9. Smoking, chewing paan / tobacco, consumption of alcohol, possession/consumption and/or distribution of drugs are strictly prohibited in the
college premises. Offenders will be severely dealt with, and police complaint may be lodged against them.
10. Learners shall attend all the internal and external examinations conducted by the college, as per the guidelines of the University of Mumbai. Any
learner who remains absent during any of the examinations for whatsoever reasons should immediately inform in writing to the
Examination Committee about the same. The college shall not allow any learner to appear in any of the above mentioned exams except on the
specified dates.
11. Learners shall abide by the University of Mumbai’s rules regarding minimum 75% attendance of lectures in each term in each subject failing
which strict action including debarring the student from appearing in the exam, shall be taken against the learner by the college.

NSS :
The NSS Unit of the college enrols learners as per NSS guidelines and directions of the University of Mumbai. It gives an opportunity to learners to
develop organizational skills and leadership qualities and imbibes in them a sense of social consciousness. Various projects are undertaken by
these volunteers throughout the year. A 7 days Residential Camp to a nearby place is also arranged for them during the academic year.
WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CELL :
The college has a Women Development Cell, formed as per the guidelines laid down by the Hon. Supreme Court of India and the subsequent
directives issued by University of Mumbai. The cell is formed to protect the women employees of the institution and the girl learners against any form
of sexual harassment and to redress their grievances as per the guidelines laid by the University.
STUDENTS’ GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL :
The college has a Students’ Grievance Redressal Cell, wherein the complaints of the learners are looked into, pertaining to any academic and / or
administrative matters of the college including ragging but not restricted to it. There is a Students’ Grievance Redressal Cell Box in the college in
which the learners can drop their grievances in writing.
Wi-Fi CAMPUS :
The college provides a free Wi-Fi on the campus for all academic activities.
STATE OF THE ART CLASSROOMS :
Technologically well equipped, modern classrooms with Air-conditioners & LCD projectors for self finance learners.
FREESHIP :
Freeship shall be granted to eligible learners belonging to the economically backward class subject to their fulfillment of the conditions as laid down
by the University of Mumbai, regarding the same.
The college enables learners to apply for scholarship under the various schemes promoted through MahaDBT by the Govt. of Maharashtra.

12. Learners applying for certificates, testimonials etc. and those requiring the Principal’s signature on any document or application should first
contact the college office. No papers should be brought by the learners directly to the Principal for his signature.
13. No society or association of learners shall be formed in the college and no person should be invited to address a meeting without the prior
permission from the college.
14. Learners should not leave their books, valuables and other belongings in their classrooms / laboratories / girls common room, whenever
they move away from the rooms. Learners shall not bring any personal vehicles like scooter, bike, car and any other two wheeler or
automobiles inside the college campus. Learners shall not be allowed to park the same inside the college premises. College shall not be
responsible for any loss of property which is being brought within the college premises by the learner.
15. No learner shall communicate any information to or write about matters dealing with the college administration in the press or to the media ,or
any social networking site.
16. Learners shall not loiter in the premises of the college while the classes are being conducted. Their conduct in the classrooms as well as on the
premises shall be such as not to cause any disturbance to fellow learners or to other classes.
17. If for any reason, the continuance of a learner in the college is, in the opinion of the Principal detrimental to the best interest of the college, he may
expel such a learner from the college without giving reasons for his decision. The Principal’s decision shall be final and binding.
18. Admissions can be considered to be granted only when the full fees for the academic year are paid. Learners who misbehave and have
serious complaints of indiscipline against them will not be readmitted to the college, in the following academic year / semester.
19. Parents and Guardians are requested to co-operate with the college authorities in enforcing regularity and discipline in their wards and ensure
that their wards attend their classes and take healthy and helpful interest in the activities of the college.
20. Learners shall not bring any electronic or digital gadgets, equipments like cell phone, floppy disk, CD, DVD, Pendrive or any kind of data
storage device as well as any computing device like PDA Laptops, Palmtops etc. within the Computer lab of the college without explicit written
permission of the Principal. Any learner found in possession of above mentioned items shall be permanently debarred from the computer lab.
21. The learner shall abide by the ONLINE learning rules prescribed by the college/University from time to time.
