Project Value: $24,600,000

Project Overview:

ACS provided turnkey delivery, including the

design, construction, equipment fabrication and

integration and commissioning services for a new

engine research and development test center in

Aiken, South Carolina. The project consisted of

a Development Building with two R&D test cells

as well as a new Mechanical/Electrical building

providing all new facility systems required to

support the test cells. The project will support the

research and development for MTU America’s S2000

and S4000 series of diesel engines. The output range

of these engines is 550 kW up to a maximum of 4500

kW.

ACS Services:

ACS held a single-source contract for test facility

design and construction management; equipment

design and component specification, equipment

build, procurement, and contractor installation;

integration of equipment, facility, and control

systems; and commissioning.
