and Mental Health of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
as of 1 January 2019 and which is held for the duration of the award.
Those with honorary (except those listed above) or casual appointments are not eligible
to apply for this scheme.

• Mention if you are using this grant to form the basis of a project proposal which you intend to submit to another funding body (e.g. ARC, NHMRC, SIEF)
• Seek diverse funding sources
• Seek high quality, appropriate publishers or journals
• Indicate if you intend to present your work at national/international forums
• Indicate if the project will lead to collaborations or research training opportunities.

Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA)

• PhD awarded last 5 years or career interruptions – Specific dates and requirements outlined in funding rules
• Within the Discovery Program, can apply/hold 1 project in addition to the DECRA
• DECRA Applicant can only apply for 2 DECRAs over the period in which they are eligible, 1 per round
• A DECRA Recipient cannot apply for a subsequent DECRA

• The Committee reserves the right to award less than the requested amount
• Excludes GST, includes on-costs (e.g. super, work cover etc.)
